I highly recommend Edwards Chevrolet! I flew 1,400 miles this past Friday to pick up my wife's exceptional 1st new dream car in her entire life. The unique color and model of my wife's new dream car is what motivated me to travel that kind of distance for her. My exceptional salesman, Jayson Neeley, offered to pick me up at Eppley Airfield, in Omaha, Nebraska so that I could purchase and drive my wife's new car back to northern Illinois, 461 miles away. Unfortunately, my first jet at Chicago O'hare International Airport at 6AM was unable to take off. After 3.5 hours everyone was told to get off the aircraft and try to find another flight. My new ticket had me flying to Denver, Colorado with a 5 hour layover and then to Eppley Airfield in Omaha, NE. Even though my flight time was delayed four different times because of the snow storm in Denver. Jayson Neeley showed up at 9:22 p.m. at Eppley Airfield, Omaha, NE and picked me up and dropped me off at my hotel on his own time (on a Friday Night). He was fantastic and helpful from the very first conversation we had over the phone to teaching me what all of the high tech functions of our new vehicle are! There isn't enough words to express my gratitude for Jayson Neeley and Edwards Chevrolet General Manager that made my new car buying experience incredibly memorable! Thank you to Jayson Neeley and Edwards Chevrolet we absolutely love our new family dream car and we got it at a great price!
2021 Volkswagen Golf GTI review
I have 11 yr old twins and we're all able to fit comfortably in my GTI. Its fun to drive, sporty, good on gas. What more do you need?

2017 Volkswagen Golf GTI review
GTI's do almost everything well. Economy, performance, flexibility, holds value, road car, back roads car, safety, comfort, feature-laden and now almost $10K less than the price of the average new vehicle. Two minor flaws IMO. All GTI's should have Golf R climate controls. Standard controls too confusing and fussy. Rather set it and forgot it. DSG is "still funky after all these years." Don't get me wrong, the lightning quick shifts and in-traffic ease are compelling, but DSGs can be clunky and feel strange at low speed and can't yet read all of your intentions correctly, thus some odd decisions/shifts on occasion. Not a fault, just a thing. Otherwise brilliant. GTI is among the contenders for "best" mass-produced combustion engine car of all time. Yes, that good. If shopping the used market, I would strongly suggest one try to get a Performance Package car. Much better brakes that won't need brake service as often and stop better. Also, the electronically controlled differential aids both traction and handling.

2016 Volkswagen Beetle review
I traded in my Buick Enclave for a VW Beetle over 6 years ago and have loved it nearly every day. The Turbo engine is fantastic. It's been a great little car. The only complaint is that it's not great (at all!) in the snow. Other than that, two thumbs up.

2017 Volkswagen Golf review
I bought my golf new at the end of 2016 and would have kept it much longer if it had not been totaled in an accident. The few little issues I had were covered under the initial warranty (coolant leak, trunk leak). Nothing else other than normal maintenance things like brakes and tires up to 81,000 - that's as far as I can speak to. I took good care of it, did the VW service things for the most part and I have no doubt it would have lasted to 200K or beyond. It looked cool and was fun to drive. I had the S manual. I enjoy driving and had a tiny regret about not getting the Wolfsburg edition (faster engine, slightly better options like heated seats and sun/moon roof).

08/07/24 I have never written a review before but feel compelled to so now. My CARMATCH experience began over the phone when Ramsey called in response to my vehicle interest announcement made on line. I admit that I am a cynical and jaded person when it comes to having to deal with car sales people, but I was at ease with Ramsey's reassuring and sincere manner as we made arrangements to meet the following day. I no longer felt like I was about to endure a root canal. My wife and I were met upon arrival at the small, clean and we'll organized dealership. The vehicle I was interested in was advertised on line with a salvage title disclaimer. I made a close inspection and was unable to notice any repairs made. When I asked to confirm the damage mentioned Ramsey explained that they do their own body work. He added, "We're small but we're good." My wife and I were encouraged to take the truck by ourselves for as long as we needed so we could discuss privately. We returned to the dealership for the root canal (negotiations), and were met with Ramsey's open, forthright and sincere dealings. I never felt suspicious or concerned. We made the purchase and left knowing we got a great deal. We also now have a real friend in Omaha.
2016 Volkswagen Golf R review
I have owned this 2016 Golf R manual since December, 2015. My previous car was a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3, a great hot hatch in it's own right. Right away I knew I had to tune the Golf R to make it feel faster than the Speed 3. APR Stage 1 accomplished that in spades. Not satisfied, I went Stage 2 which made the car absolutely bonkers (I did have to upgrade the clutch to a Southbend Stage 3 racing clutch). I have had three years on the Stage 2 and have had zero problems with it. Unrelated issues have included rear differential oil leak, window switch modulation, and misfiring due to bad plugs and coils. All except the latter were fixed under warranty. There is also a problem with the backlighting of the speedo/tach/fuel/coolant temp gauge that hasn't been fixed but other displays are fine. The car at just under 54K miles remains a blast to drive and very easy to live with.

2023 Volkswagen Golf GTI review
Volkswagen did a great job refining the MK8 GTI. Key points -One of the best handling FWD cars mainly due to the LSD, XDS and suspension refinement. -Very smooth power deliver almost 0 turbo lag. - 40th anniversary has to be the best value purchase as it comes standard with DCC and IQ lightings which are only available on the highest trim. The negatives include: -The infotainment can be improved wireless android and apple car play need to be standard. Can't set your phone properly on the wireless charger when the phone is attached to the wire. - Compared to the MK7 the coin holder and the sliding storage below the driver sear is missing. -Unable to disable auto start and stop feature permanently as restores to default on every time you start the vehicle.
