terrible radio design, cannot toggle form am fm to sat radio, have to go thru all selections first, cannot go direct to bands. under powered, needs a large 6v turbo or a v8. armrests too narrow and too short for long trips. seat bottom too short, options too expensive and not enough packages. why is dark interior a high priced option, and not just a choice, needs led headlights, thicker front windshield got stone chips from small stones

2018 Audi A4 allroad review
I still have my 2001 Allroad (built on the A6) and did not think the A4 Allroad would have the same feel - but I was wrong. The 2018 is solid, has great torque and overall performance is superior. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I hate buying cars. They also know that I rarely write reviews. Despite that, my recent purchase from Dan Martins Auto Depot makes me what to share my experience. Our 1998 V70 served us well for the past 20 years, but had some issues that would prevent it from passing NYS inspection. I decided to look at possible replacements. Initially, I was thinking about picking up a 2-3 year old car, but wasn’t crazy about the current styles. Looking on-line, I happened upon a 2007 V70 at Dan Martins that looked like it checked all of the boxes. The mileage was low for its age, the condition seemed perfect, it appeared to be well maintained, and the long roof wagon provided lots of room for our two dogs. I don’t make car buying decisions very fast, so I mulled it over for a while before contacting Dan Martins about its availability (and asking my wife for permission to consider it). Peter promptly replied and sent me a link with loads of pictures that clearly showed the car’s condition. He told me that they had carefully gone over the car and what parts they replaced. The free CarFax showed that the car had been carefully maintained by its previous two owners. The ‘problem’?—I live about 300 miles away from Yonkers, outside Rochester, NY. I toyed with taking the bus or train down to Yonkers to see it and possibly drive it back. Peter was so easy to deal with, that I had confidence to buy the car, without seeing it in person. I wired the money, Peter found a very reasonable shipper to truck it to me, and a few days later, the car was in my driveway. The car was exactly as described, if not better. I feel like I have a new car, at a fraction of the cost. I told Peter, that he made the entire sales process to be as easy as buying something on Amazon. After buying this car, I may not wait another 20 years to buy my next. I highly recommend, without hesitation, Dan Martins Auto Depot and especially, Peter. For me, it was a welcome change to the car buying experience.
2017 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen review
Purchased used S 5-speed manual with 33,000 miles on it about four years back. Just passed 100,000 miles last month. Only one problem so far, with the passenger door latch assembly. We get about 37 MPG mixed city and highway, and 45-50 MPG in interstate highway driving. FWD and snow tires work fine here in Wisconsin. The turbo motor and 5-speed provide all of the acceleration one will *actually* need, and also provide those great economy numbers. As part of the Golf platform, it's a solid car and the handling is good. The ride comfort is also good, maybe enhanced by the taller 16" tires on the S version. Simple controls, without an overly complicated radio / info system. Manual ventilation controls (knobs) are a huge plus. With the rear seats down, it has about the same cargo space as our 2009 Subaru Outback: little narrower but also a little longer. Good outward visibility. Driver seat can get a little tiring after a long drive (4 hours or more) but it's comparable with other highway vehicles we've owned. Reasonably quiet inside considering it's essentially an economy vehicle. A very nice economy vehicle, though. We like it enough that we're considering getting another one before there are no more good wagons in the market.

2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class review
I have owned my 2017 E 300 for 5 years. It has been the finest car I have ever own. It is enjoyable to drive. It's a baby S class. I searched and purchased the 2017 e300 with P3 package. The lane keeping assist is the most advance in 2017. The engine is a 4 cylinder but it handles like a V-6. This car is leader for luxury, driving and durability.

2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV review
Purchased a used 2023 Chevy Bolt EV a couple months ago, and so far have been very happy with it. I will talk about what I think are cons first. Not happy with the lack of safety features that most vehicles have as standard features. No BSM, no yellow warnings of vehicles in blind spots or warning sounds. No back up warnings. Visibility is taking time to get use to. Mirrors are too small. Visors are too small to block sunlight. Interior is cheap, storage spaces a lacking, glove box dumps stuff out when you open it. Pros:. The selling point of the vehicle is the savings in fuel economy. It is a relatively small SUV electric vehicle, with a good battery that will take you 250 miles on a full charge. I have been averaging 4.4 miles/kw. My electric rate is 10.6 cents a kw. It only costs me $6 to drive that 250 miles. That's about the price for a gallon of gasoline in some places around here. Car is fast and can pass another vehicle very quickly. Ride is comfortable and smooth. One peddle works great and I get better numbers around town. I'm estimating this little EV will save me about $2500 a year and fuel costs. I have a charger installed in my garage. The key to taking advantage of the savings of any EV is to charge at home. Charge overnight. Love this little car.

2015 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen review
We purchased a used TDI with 50K miles. now has over 150K and have only done oil changes and fuel filter. Only necessary repair was the HVAC blower motor just recently failed. Incredibly reliable car. Diesel engine paired with the 6 speed automatic trans delivers awesome torque whenever you need it. 50+ mpg on hwy trips and averaging 39 mpg commuting. The interior is obviously not luxurious but comfortable enough to keep you happy. I should mention the Stereo system and bluetooth is unreliable. Powers itself on and off at random and will require repair. The cargo area is surprisingly large when the seats are folded down as well.

2019 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack review
We bought a used 2019 a month ago. I wasn't aware of these. As I researched a replacement for my wife's GMC Terrain, I learned about all of the bad CVT transmissions and oil burning engines in that class. Happened on a used Alltrack for sale at a dealer and as I researched the dsg transmission and looked up reviews - I was pretty excited by what I read. We have taken in on one 6-hour trip through the mountains and several 3-hour family visits. I love driving it. Probably my favorite car I have driven other than my old 2000 Volvo S70. It seems to be very well built. It is insanely quiet on the road and it has great acceleration. We travel with two kids and two dogs and it zips right up mountain passes, rarely cracking 3k rpm. I wish we had about 2 more inches in the trunk for our kennel, but it is a large space. I am anxious to try the AWD in some Montana snow this winter. Sadly its my wife's driver, but I get to drive it on trip!

2018 Buick Regal TourX review
Love this car! We were sizing down after three JEEP grand Cherokees and a Buick Enclave. We finally went with something more like a car. I am always attracted to more interesting and unusual (wouldn’t know it by my last four cars!) and when I first saw one of these I was so intrigued I had to research it. Then search the country for the color and options I wanted. They are a bit rare! But they drive like a dream. And always garner interest among other drivers. It is quick, has been extremely reliable and carefree. And the sure-footedness of all wheel drive has been great in the rain and snow of the Pacific Northwest. Plus I’m getting over 30mph flying across the west on regular unleaded! And it is cavernous, both in overall capacity, but even for my 6+ footer boys in the back seat. I haven’t been as happy driving a car since the sport cars of my youth! Only giving it four stars in comfort because the drivers seat is a little too narrow for long hauls for my larger frame. But the fun makes up for it!
