Expert 2025 Hyundai PALISADE review

our expert's take

What Is the 2025 Hyundai Palisade?

The Hyundai Palisade is a three-row SUV that’s a mechanical twin to the popular Kia Telluride. Big on value and user-friendly technology, the Palisade seats seven or eight depending on whether captain’s chairs or a bench seat are chosen for the second row.

Power comes from a 291-horsepower, 3.8-liter V-6 engine that works with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional. Competitors include the Chevrolet Traverse, Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, Subaru Ascent, and the Toyota Highlander and Grand Highlander.

What’s New on the 2025 Hyundai Palisade?

The Palisade sees minimal changes for 2025. A new SEL Premium trim debuts, replacing the SEL’s previous Premium Package, and some existing trims gain additional standard equipment.

What Features in the 2025 Hyundai Palisade Are Most Important?

Standard features include:

  • 18-inch alloy wheels
  • Cloth upholstery
  • 12.3-inch multimedia system with navigation
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity
  • Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability
  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Blind spot warning
  • Lane departure steering assist
  • Driver attention warning
  • Safe exit assist

Available features include:

  • 20-inch alloy wheels
  • Self-leveling suspension
  • Panoramic moonroof
  • Leather-trimmed seats
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Heated second- and third-row seats
  • Second-row captain’s chairs
  • Power-folding third row
  • Harman Kardon 12-speaker premium stereo
  • 360-degree camera system
  • Head-up display
  • Wireless device charging
  • Digital instrument panel
  • Passenger Talk in-car intercom
  • Blind spot camera
  • Rain-sensing wipers

Should I Buy the 2025 Hyundai Palisade?

The Palisade packs a whole lot of value into a three-row SUV, with an impressive array of comfort, tech and safety features. Moving to one of the higher available trim levels gets you a spacious luxury SUV without the luxury price tag; the Calligraphy Night Edition is especially sinister-looking in addition to being luxurious. When the Palisade first arrived, we liked it so much we named it our Best of 2020 award winner, and it remains one of our favorite three-row SUVs. Cross-shop the similar Telluride to compare styling details.

  • Bought car new.

Bought car new. I have had at least 25 new cars and this is the worst handling car I have ever had. Wish I never bought it. Dealer had it 5 days and said pulling to right and left is normal. That is not satisfactory.

  • I have a family of 5 and this car offers everything we

I have a family of 5 and this car offers everything we need. The seats are comfortable all the way around. My teenager has had no complaints even when he has to sit in the 3rd row. We have gone on several long trips and there have been no issues. Even the way it operates in winter is impressive. I feel safe even on the snowiest roads.

  • If you park your car in the sun, your drivers side mirror

If you park your car in the sun, your drivers side mirror cover will melt. It started to melt and bubble, then start cracking. Then started caving in. Brought to the dealership said it was vandalized. We live in a great community with cameras. The vehicle is a 2025 and the dealership said it is not covered.

  • Our palisade is very luxurious and loaded with

Our palisade is very luxurious and loaded with technology, it has a smoother ride than our grand cherokee and far more advanced than the pilot we rest drove. We love the comfort, size and especially the 5 yr bumper to bumper warranty. Its definitely a vehicle worth test driving to see the quality over other vehicles in its class.
