This dealership’s service is terrible if you need anything more than the very basics done with your vehicle. 6 months ago I was told I had an oil leak, but nothing to worry about and they would address it at the next oil change and for me to just check the oil level periodically. This last oil change I expected to have this problem resolved along w/ a check engine light that came on. I was told they could not fix anything and to take it somewhere else to get it fixed. I would have did that 6 months ago if I knew they were going leave fixing the problem on an expensive diesel engine in a truck I purchased there up to me.

We are very sorry for how this happened. Unfortunately the only 1 master certified technician we had on staff 6 months ago has since transferred locations leaving us and our customers without a solution for repairs above and beyond basic maintenance here in Waterloo. That is nothing we could have anticipated 6 months ago. We are working diligently to find and secure a technician to fill that role, but until then we are offering all guests the ability to service their vehicle with complex issues like this at our St. Louis store or any other dealership of their choice. If you would like to pursue the St. Louis store as an option, please let us know and we can add you to our schedule. Thank you for being patient with us. This was my first car purchase and the experience with Joe at Sunset Ford of Waterloo was great. You always hear about how horrible the car buying experience can be between salesman pressure and paperwork; however, it was not the case here. Joe never pressured me and he made sure that the used car I was buying had everything in tip-top shape before I bought it. The paperwork took less than 45 minutes. Overall, great experience.
