    Bob Baker Carlsbad was definitely the worse customer experience we have ever had. An example of disrespect, lack of professionalism and integrity. We bough... our mazda with them in July 2019. I called them and we exchanged a lot of emails before I go there and close the deal. Once I live in another city (around 2 hours far from them), I wanted to be sure everything was ok and the price was right. Well, everything was ok when we got there and did the test drive but problems started to happen when we got there to pick up the car. First of all, it was missing the extra carpet and the wheel lockers. We asked about them and they said they couldn’t include that on the deal anymore. We had the emails/text messages confirming that it was part of the deal and agreed price. They called the manager to explain the situation and it was when the situation got worse. Jay Costa, the manager, was the most rude person we have ever done business. He said we had two options: take the car without the pieces or don't buy the car anymore. He was angry, rude and left us talking alone in the meeting room. We got a ride to be there, we didn't have a way to come back to our city, we had already signed a contract and paid for the car insurance, my wife felt really disrespected and started crying. The problem was not the carpet or the locker. If they changed their mind, they could be honest and transparent. But they agreed with some conditions, confirmed by email/text messages and didn’t keep their word. They promised something, waited for us to drive there and disrespected us as a customer. A shame!!!

    My wife and I bought two 6 GT's from Reynold Smith. The experience could not have been better! Ren and Bob Baker Mazda was wonderful through the entire... process with both my wife and I. Greatly enjoyed the experience! My 23 year-old son was so impressed with Ren and Bob Baker Mazda that he ordered a 3 GT. Hats off to all at Bob Baker Mazda; Ren, Jamey and Jay. Special thanks to Dave and Damon in service did a wonderful job prepping our vehicles!

    I was just in and was surprised with almost $200 in charges for them to tell me my engine was flooded, without actually repairing anything. I had full... intentions to return for the other recommended repairs later in the week, but now that I have seen a severe lack of transparency for the second time, that's not happening. I'd much rather give my money to someone who isn't trying to scam me. Bob Baker Mazda Service Center -- If you're going to charge someone or tack on extra fees, tell them up front. You will get a lot further by practicing good business ethics and being transparent with your customers. This is the second time I have been surprised with unexpected charges paired with poor service. I'm submitting a complaint to the BBB, and letting everyone I know to steer clear of this place. Figure it out.

We reviewed the repair order and interviewed team members including the technician that worked on your vehicle for a few hours to get operational. It appears your vehicle was towed into our center after hours and we quickly went to work on it the next day to get it up and running for you.     Oh man, what an awesome experience! I woke up at 4am on 10/27/18 to start my walk to Carlsbad from Pacific Beach. Upon my arrival, I got the pleasure of... working with Paul Guardino who is in the Internet Sales department. Btw, kidding about the walk ��. Paul helped me in buying a new 2018 Mazda6 Touring. This man knows his stuff. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and transparent throughout the whole transaction. He also went above and beyond with his hospitality and giving me information on which I had no idea of at the time. They need to give this man a promotion!!! Also, throughout the process, I met Ron Pitkin, the Sales Manager and Mike Lauzun the Finance Manager. These guys were friendly, helpful, and I'm glad they had a sense of humor. Let's not forget to mention how friendly the rest of the staff was either. Between meeting these three superb individuals, and the rest of the staff. I felt like I fit right in with these gentlemen and almost forgot I was buying a new car. Without a doubt, this was the best car dealership experience I've had.

    As a women buying a new car is always a bit overwhelming. It seems that a lot of dealerships still have that good ol boy attitude. This is my second purchase... of a new car/SUV that I have purchased myself as a single women. I have always felt he need to bring a male with me to be taken seriously While on the search for the SUV I purchased the proof was in the pudding, as soon as we got on the lot of most of the dealerships the salesman went straight to the man I was with and started asking him what he was looking for. That is so very frustrating as a women. However I went to Carlsbad Mazda and David Salow was great, start to finish. He really listened to me found what I was looking for and we made the deal. He even would make a house call if needed regarding you vehicle . I bought the Mazda SUV CX5 Grand Touring 17 and love it and the way everyone at the dealership I dealt with.

    Ren Smith was brilliant throughout the whole process. Attentive to my needs both on the phone prior to my visit to the showroom and during my time at the... dealership. I am extremely happy with the car I purchased. Everyone worked as a team to help me drive home in the car I was looking for.

    I recently applied to several local Mazda dealers online for a quote on a new Mazda CX5 Grand Touring and while I received an email from all of them, Don... and the Ren from Bob Baker Mazda were the only ones that followed up, with Ren helping me to schedule a test drive that same day, a Friday evening, even though it was a 40 minute drive from downtown San Diego to Carlsbad. The entire team was great.. from the service manager, who was getting ready to leave but helped them locate, put the fuses in and pull the protective wrapping off the hood, top and wheels, to the detail guys that stayed late to fully prep my car, which was fresh off the truck. But Ren was amazing and went above and beyond helping me to get the deal I wanted, staying until almost 11:00 pointing out all of the finer features on the vehicle before I drove off the lot. Absolutely the best! I love my new CX5 and would recommend Ren and Bob Baker Mazda to anyone in the market for a new vehicle. Zoom Zoom

    Ren Smith (Ren is short for Reynold, just in case you ask for Ren and you don't get put in touch with him) is an awesome guy. I was in touch with him via... email for a bit before coming into the dealership and Ren helped me out so much. Everyone at the dealership was super friendly and awesome, but I gotta give a shoutout to Ren for being so awesome to me. I got a great car at a great price and I'm very happy.
