i bought my outback at dunning subaru 2 years ago and the experience has been top notch from start to finish. my salesperson was wonderful, she was we...ll informed, patient and not pushy at all. exactly what i was hoping for. my service and upkeep experiences have always been professional, efficient, and timely. since my purchase, i've recommended dunning to everyone i know who is looking for a car.

Want to relive all your nightmares about car salespeople, including the dreaded Sales Manager who lies to you and refuses to allow you to comparison s...hop? Then this is your place! I used to like this dealership but not under its current management. They will try to up-sell you on everything. Remember that scene from Fargo with the "clear coat"? Yeah. They will throw in extra charges at the last minute. They won't show you all your options for buying or leasing -- especially the ones that include advertised Subaru specials -- and they'll act aggrieved if you ask for them. Then they will tell you they won't let you leave with their written offer, because they don't allow comparison shopping. If you press them, the Sales Manager Dave will lie to you and say he made a calculation mistake, and you "should have taken his offer." This place is everything people hate about car dealerships. Try a competitor, that's what I'm doing. Want a laugh? Here's what Dave says about himself (from a followup email): "I believe in being more than a Subaru retailer. I believe in being part of my community. In setting an example. In building lifelong relationships. And in ensuring the love is felt not just by our customers, but by all. Not because it's good for business. Because it's the right thing to do." And if you believe that, they've got a bridge to sell you.

I experienced what was in my opinion a very dishonest communication between what their service manager noted as drivability problems, what he told me ...he would communicate to Subaru of America, and his actual communication. In a subsequent follow-up conversation with John Taylor, their General Manager, was belligerent and hostile. Further, he employed language which I have not seen since junior high school. I will never consider again purchasing a Subaru, especially from an organization whose senior management (service and the general manager) was wanting in terms of integrity and simple professional behavior. Separately, one the pricing side they were more than $1000 over nearby Subaru dealers. I strongly suggest you comparison shop.
