Integrity- 0 Communication- 0 Professionalism-1 (They wore a button up shirt) Salesman: Mike Price (manager) and Thomas Live up to the name of shady used... car salesman. Just as shady as a politician. First thought everything went great. After I went to register vehicle and found out they sold me a vehicle that did not pass emissions and had no intentions of fixing the issue until I had showed up with the vehicle and DMV report. (bought in St. Charles county. Registered in St. Louis county). I was told by Mike Price that these things happen. After so I began documenting every encounter. Since purchase (2005 F150 and trade in of a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek) on 10/30/2020 and extended warranty purchase it took 2 full weeks to get paperwork even after receiving title. Go in to get a new remote as original was chewed on and not functional only to get a mediocre remote with eligible pictures.(Gave them 3 fully functioning remotes from trade in). Told salesman of pulley bearing going out and menu light not functional when we started the vehicle before going into maintenance for only brake pads and winterizing. Told in person they'll fix it multiple times by both gentleman and would contact me for scheduling. Later told they would fix for $1200. Mike and Thomas both gave their word multiple times they would make it right and have failed as professionals. Will also give you a loaner car with quarter tank twice with impression of having it for one day at the most. Second time I checked on vehicle for 3 days with no information. I contacted the maintenance shop and spoke with their lead who told me he had spoken with Mike earlier that day on the issues and it was ready for pick up; right after I had gotten off the phone with Mike who said he hadn't been able to talk to anyone.

I would recommend Travers 100% to my Friends and family! I had been in the market for a new truck for several weeks, had been to five or six different... dealerships Each time letting them know exactly what I was looking for (options price range etc.) and each time the sales person would say no problem if we don't have it we can get it... Then they would call back with something completely different than what I was looking for or just try and upsell honestly don't believe they put any effort into finding what I was looking for! Luckily I finally stop by Travers and spoke with Cory Sale rep and Brain sales manager within a few days they had found me the perfect truck with the options I was looking for (even more than what I was expecting) and in my price range! SECOND they both went well above and beyond working around my crazy work schedule allowing me time to come down look at the truck test drive and get all the financing and paper work in order . I think I can honestly say this is the first time I've ever posted any type of public review good or bad But wanted to take the time and share what exceptional customer service I received from both Cory and Brian. I will definitely recommend to my friends and family to go talk to those two if in the market for a vehicle Thanks again gentleman SeanC.
I do realize it has been two years since we purchased this truck. But I just can help but share the experience we had with Travers, Grier and their service... department. In September 2016 we purchased a 2013 F-150 Ecoboost from Travers. We loved it, my husbands first vehicle newer than a 1995. We went in to this experience thinking we want to find a dealership that we can continue to buy cars from for years. The week after purchasing the truck, we noticed an engine noise. We called Travers and they looked at it, told us they could never get it to make any noise. Shortly after that the windshield wipers starting coming on randomly. I stopped by one day when I was out and about and Grier completely dismissed my concern about the multi-switch being out and proceeded to tell me the truck had automatic wipers (it does not and it wasn’t raining that day). I trusted my gut and made an appointment with the service department, sure enough the multi switch had went bad. They repaired it for us at no cost. Later that week we kept hearing the engine noise again, I called them back and made another appointment. Friends of ours said it sounded like a turbo issue, so I let them know that. Again, said they weren’t able to do anything since no lights were on and that they had checked with a Ford dealership who knew of no issues with the trucks with that engine. Fast Forward, now the check engine light is on, throwing a code for a turbo sensor. After looking online further we found a service bulletin released by Ford in 2014 outlying this issue. If noticed while your vehicle was still covered under the warranty the resolution would be covered by your warranty. Ours would have been in 2016 when we purchased but now we are out of warranty and are looking at a $500+ repair. Like I stated previously, I know it has been two years but I can’t help this gut feeling that with a little more investigation this couldn’t have been resolved and covered by our warranty.
This review is from my father, Colonel Steve Stevens of the US Army who had a TERRIBLE experience with Travers: ***I am adding to my review! Travers has... asked me several times to take down my review, and in exchange they would pay for the services that I had to have done after purchasing the car from them. I told them I would EDIT my review once they paid the bill. Mike Brockman, their GM of Service told me that the check was in the mail (he never mailed it) and that he would meet me where the car was being worked on. (he never showed/texted to let me know he wouldn’t be there). So, since Mike turned out to be completely inept, I tried to call the owner Glenn Travers. I was told by one of his Salesman, that Glenn doesn’t care to talk to anyone unless their buying 80 cars from him! Hmm...doesn’t that sound like leadership is really teaching service to their staff. If the owner could care less about talking to a customer, why would the GM feel it’s his responsibility to follow through with anything? DO NOT GO HERE! I’ve bought many cars from Dave Sinclair and any of his family would pick up the phone and help me with anything I needed. Went in to have my air conditioning serviced to find out that the car Travers sold me was dashboard ready with all air conditioner controls but no air compressor/air conditioning, the serviceman, Chad, mentioned he had never seen this before. In addition, to servicing the non-existent air conditioner, I asked them to tighten the emergency brake. I got a call back stating it would have to totally fail for it to be covered by the Travers warranty (Chad), upon inspection (totally failed) and then conversation by Chad and Nate, the Travers warranty person stated it wasn't covered and was to cost $300.00 plus to fix and they recommended changing the regular brake pads also, totaling now $700.00 plus. I indicated not to do the regular pads but needed the emergency brake pads done. The following day (May 15) I received a call from the service manager, Joe, stating It was going to be over a thousand dollars on the emergency brake job, I stated "STOP" and put my car back together. They did perform an oil change and the total for the terrible two day experience was $127.00, almost 200 miles driven (back and forth x 2), more than 1/2 tank of gas, most expensive oil change I've ever had... I should of also looked closer at the extended warranty they sold me for almost 1400 dollars, Travers gets to choose what is covered and what is not, that's like the fox guarding the hen house. In addition, on my way home from Travers I had to park the Jeep on the side of the rode because Travers put the wheels/brakes back wrong. A new mechanic gave me a quote of $500, half of what Travers was going to charge me. Terrible!!!!! Stay Away!!!!
Everyone there, from our salesman Herb, to the finance and service depts, were great to work with in getting our deal done. We couldn’t be happier with... our purchase and the processes that got us there.
