BMW’s latest recall for a potential fire risk is both an expansion and a supersession of two previous notices that tallies more than 917,000 cars and SUVs.

Approximately 8,500 model-year 2013-16 BMW 3 Series sedans and model-year 2013-15 3 Series wagons are being recalled for their constant-velocity joints.
