Lacking a well-rounded, satisfying high-performance driving experience, the 2025 BMW M235 Gran Coupe struggles as a livable daily performance sedan.

The second-generation 2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe has more power and additional driver-assistance tech available.

This year’s study is based on responses from 99,144 buyers and lessees of new model-year 2024 vehicles, and respondents were surveyed 90 days after acquiring their vehicles.

While the Gran Coupe still offers three different interior trims with ambient lighting, that’s one fewer choice than buyers had in 2023. And the high-performance M2 coupe will be available in two new colors later in the year.

The 2023 BMW 2 Series received a major redesign for 2022, so the German luxury automaker is making only minor changes to the compact coupe for 2023.
