The latest major recall to affect Ford and luxury brand Lincoln involves an issue that may impact braking performance.

Ford’s latest recall affects more than 199,000 cars across the South and Hawaii, where weather conditions could cause a brake-pedal bumper to separate or disintegrate.

Approximately 2.15 million 2011-15 Ford and Lincoln vehicles are being recalled for their door latches.

The latch pawl spring-tab design is susceptible to cracking and failure in areas with high ambient temperatures.

More than 90,000 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ sedans, and Edge and MKX SUVs are being recalled for steering gear motor attachment bolts.
