Expert 2026 Buick Envista review

Our expert's take

Key Points

  • Pricing for the 2026 Buick Envista starts at $26,495 (all prices include a $1,795 destination fee).
  • No major changes for the 2026 model year
  • EPA-rated 30 mpg combined

Buick’s Envista is a small entry-luxury crossover that brings the panache of high-priced SUV coupes such as the BMW X6, Genesis GV70 and Mercedes-Benz GLE to the masses. It has a similarly stylish profile but a base price that could undercut the options bill on those vehicles. The only notable change to the Envista for 2026 is a new paint color.

Release Date and Pricing

The 2026 Buick Envista is on sale now. Full line pricing is as follows:

  • Preferred: $26,495
  • Sport Touring: $27,995
  • Avenir: $31,295

Trim Levels and Safety Features

The entry-level Preferred trim includes 17-inch aluminum wheels, heated exterior mirrors and remote start. The interior features cloth upholstery, manually adjustable front seats, a manual tilt/telescoping steering column, automatic climate control and push-button start. Standard technology features consist of an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker audio system, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Sport Touring trim is distinguished by gloss-black exterior accents, including the grille, mirror housings and 18-inch wheels. It also gets synthetic leather upholstery.

The range-topping Avenir variant features an upgraded Watts linkage rear suspension for improved ride comfort and handling. Color-matched lower-body trim, a unique grille and 19-inch wheels give it an upscale look, and it also adds a power liftgate and keyless entry. Inside, the Avenir gets perforated leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat and a wireless phone charger.

The Buick Driver Confidence suite of driver-assistance features comes standard on every 2026 Envista. It includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure alert and steering assist, a following distance indicator and automatic high beams. Rear parking sensors are also standard. An Advanced Safety Package available for every trim level bundles adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert.

Powertrain Specs and MPG

The 2026 Envista offers a lot of style and content for the money; the catch is under the hood. The only engine available is a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder with a meager 137 horsepower and 162 pounds-feet of torque. Paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, it sends power exclusively to the front wheels. The 2026 Envista returns an EPA-rated 28/32/30 mpg city/highway/combined.

  • My 2026 Buick Envista is a delight to operate.

My 2026 Buick Envista is a delight to operate. I love the heated steering wheel and heated and cooling seats. The slick dash board is easy to read. The trunk lid has three choices for the distance the lid will rise when opened so I can set it to open safely in my garage. I like the blue stitching on the inside doors and seats. It matches perfectly with the Aquamarine Blue Metallic outside color. The ability to start the car from the outside is another favorite feature. The back seat passengers are comfortable. I thank the designers and give this new car 5 plus stars. I am very happy with my selection.
