What Is the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD?

The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD are full-size heavy-duty pickup trucks that seat up to six and compete with models like the Ford F-250 and Ram 3500. Three cabs and two bed lengths are offered, and engine choices include a standard 401-horsepower, 6.6-liter V-8 or an available 445-hp, turbo-diesel 6.6-liter V-8 that makes 910 pounds-feet of torque. Rear- and four-wheel-drive versions are available. When properly equipped, the 3500HD’s maximum towing capacity is a staggering 36,000 pounds.

What’s New on the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD?

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity is now available. Forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking are now available on Work Truck and Custom trim levels. A new Carhartt Special Edition of the LTZ 2500HD crew cab includes unique exterior styling cues, a black and brown interior and embroidered head restraints.

Anyone looking for a heavy-duty work truck would be wise to take the Silverado HD for a test drive. With strong towing capacity and technology geared toward making hauling trailers simpler and safer, the Silverado is a four-wheel workhorse. While some rival pickup trucks are ultimately more polished when it comes to ride comfort and cabin quality, the Silverado HD remains a great choice in a fiercely competitive class.

Silverado 3500HD High Country

Just what I wanted now I can see my trailer behind the wide dually fenders. With all the cameras you see around you a lot better.

New 3500 HD Dually

I ordered this truck with specific options to carry a truck camper. The camper has not yet arrived so I can’t speak to the truck’s capability in that regard. I’ve only driven the truck 300 miles, but so far so good. The ride is firm, but not harsh. The Duramax engine is relatively quiet, has enormous power, and great acceleration. The dual rear wheels grip the curvy mountain roads in my region. I anticipate many reliable years and miles with this truck.

Garbage: Don't buy!

Had brand new for 6 weeks, then in shop for 2 weeks, then back in shop and now they don't even know when it will be fixed as they are trying to source parts. Are you serious?
