Bought it new 14 years ago; Best car I owned.

I bought the cheapest 2006 car on lot that day... I am short so pt fits me perfect , comfortable, and its been reliable. Got hit in rear end by fast dodge ram, last yr, and hit a black cow on county hy. on dark rainy night yr. before. Insurance covered. Car held up w/o bent frame or major damage, 3 kids & I suffered no blood or broken bones. Replaced timing belt $750 included cost of kit to replace other things while car was apart. In 14 years I have never been stranded that I couldn't get to mechanic for repairs. Less oil changes & maintenance, repairs cost were $1,700 total in 14 years, Including tires. My car has no extras, still the best $15,000 purchase I ever made. Oh and its the best almost truck w/o being able to own one.

Most reliable car I have ever owned

The car met all of my needs and was very comfortable. It fit 2 car seats and me and my husband comfortably. It’s sad to see it go but we are expanding our family.

A lot of room in a cool convertible

A lot of room in a cool convertible. If you’re looking for speed and performance look elsewhere but if you’re looking for a lot of room and a fun convertible this is a good car for you.

Worst car I've ever owned unsafe can't drive it.

This car is not driveable my brake lights don't turn off without disconnecting battery and it smells of burning wires. I can't even begin to fix it because it can be numerous issues all I know for sure is it's not the brake switch. They sold it to me knowing this. Very dissatisfied.

My first car

Bought my 06 Cruiser from a private party about a year ago at 112xxx miles for $2,500. Now a year later i?m at 130xx miles with my only repair being my front rotors. The car is decent, not powerful or fast but definitely gets me to where I need to go. I have taken many trips from Los Angeles to Sacramento and back in this car with no issues power train wise. Gas mileage isn?t great. Highest ever was 27 all highway. lowest ever was 17 mostly city. Range isn?t great either never got further than 340 miles in a tank. My AC has been out, and the electrical connected to the blinkers is shoddy. The right blinker turns on the interior overhead light and the left blinker doesn?t stay down when I press it. Occasionally my battery light will go off but nothing else happens with it. Still running smoothly.

It got me from A to B

The styling of this vehicle makes it difficult to work on. I bought it used with only 48k miles on it and only drove it to 84k miles before I had enough. It was fairly reliable for the 6 years that I owned it, but when there was something that needed fixing it was the worst time trying to get it done. Also I had a problem where the headlights wouldn't work on the right side of the vehicle that turned out to be an expensive fix. Instead of dealing with fixing it, I opted for a new more reliable vehicle.

Great Car for Safety and Reliability

Great car for safety and reliability! Plenty of leg room in the back seat and space in the trunk for cargo. Not meant for speed however.

Owned 06' PT Cruiser for 6yrs..loved it

The PT cruiser is actually the best vehicle Ive ever owned. I had it for 6yrs and the only problem I had was the cluth went out. The sound system was awesome. Road trip worthy! Stylish and cute. Easy to park and reverse. I had manual and was easy to navigate in California traffic..smooth ride overall. Always got looks when driving next to another Cruiser. Lol. They have car clubs. I want to own another one...maybe convertible next time. Gas is avergae too.
