    1st gen Lightning

    The old 351w (351 windsor) motor is still going at 180,000 + miles on it. Keeping up good - great maintenance on it will help the truck keep going. It is not as quick as today's vehicles, but it is reliable and a good work horse. Sad you rarely seem them anymore.

    Had this van for 17 years.

    This vehicle is spacious enough for seven people to stretch out and carry all of their luggage. The engine has enough power to get you wherever you need to go.

    Comfort, great visibility, room for 7 seating

    Purchased several years ago with 170K miles, 2 owners, did all required maintenance. Normal working parts, breaks will lats if driven properly. I plan to drive it for 400,00 miles minimum and I am at 220,000 now! Ford did a fantastic job with 5.8 liter, virtually indestructible, plenty of power when needed in an emergency situation. Very roomy for large adults! Smoot ride! Good gas mileage at legal speeds, I get 18mpg, the way I drive.

    Very good truck. 23 years old and going strong.

    Been a pleasure to drive. Very good value. Have owned it for 9 years. Has been totaled out and rebuilt 8 years ago and still drives like a champ and looks good.

    23 Years and Still Going

    We bought this van a couple of years ago and it is in great condition, especially considering that it is more than 20 years old. It's a conversion van, so take that with a grain of salt, but the body, engine and overall reliability have been great. I would absolutely buy another one.
