2016 Ford Fusion consumer reviews

My first car. it was nice and fully loaded but that did not make up for the trouble it gave me. I got it at 140k miles, Fuel pump went out exactly a week after getting it, and the transmission went out right at a year. Fords are nice cars, but start to struggle after 100K miles and it is hard to find a 2016 Fusion with less than that for a decent price, or even at all in my experience. I’m not sure how they hold up with less than 100k miles, but in my own experience, I would not recommend this car or get any other Ford.

its such a beautiful and fun car, I love the car for its personality. in fact I'm getting married to this car on April 8, 2025, which is also my 21st birthday. All of you are invited! it is also better than a megatron civic

Ford Fusions have been known to have problems with their engines. There should be a recall but Ford refuses to acknowledge the problem. Not recommended.

I love my fusion se. Only problem I've really had is my keypad and battery. When it rains my key pad gets hit by rain and drains my battery. Have had it for almost 7 yrs have just over 100,000 and it's been a great car.

Just like all the previous reviews, I love my car but now also need my engine replaced. Started with the coolant leak too the engine misfire, now the spark plugs are cracked and engine needs to be replaced. And im still paying for it and of course my extended warranty doesn't want to cover it!! Ford really needs to do a recall at this point just like they did for every other year and model that has/ had this engine!! Enough all ready!!

Love this car, smooth driving and love the look of it. The backup camera keeps telling me to check with the dealership and so I will need to figure that out, but overall an amazing car

Ford need's to recall all Ecoboost engine's, that still contain groove's within the engine that allow coolant's to seep into the engine head's. I've got a beautiful 2016 ford fushion 2.0 ecoboost just sitting in my drive way unable to run. Literally our car was fine one day and the next day after driving it 2 miles it started blowing white steam out of the exhaust and you could smell the coolant. My husband took great care of our car. After much research, I found out that we are among many who have literally experienced the exact same thing. Our car barely has 80k miles on it.

2016 Ford Fusion SE 2.5L with Appearance package. Loved this car when I first bought it but it has some cons. Transmission is jerky and here lately it has started to stall without warning upon turns. The other day I was turning in front of traffic and it completely shut off causing me to almost get hit! I no longer feel safe in this car and it pulls zero codes. The engine is under powered but on the bright side it’s good on gas and looks nice. The value on this car has completely crashed and has left me upside down so now I’m stuck with it from the time being! Think this is my last Ford for a while

I would not recommend this car. The eco boost engine problem as stated by others, should be a recall and Ford should be responsible for fixing this issue! My son is stuck making payments and paying insurance on a car that needs a $10,000 engine replacement and it’s not worth it!

I've had my 2016 Fusion SE for over a year now. 2.0L with 163k. I love the Fusion's exterior design. Sleek and agile. Mine appears to be custom with a heated steering wheel and seats, dual exhaust, and a few other things that aren't standard on the SE trim. I've replaced a few sensors (purge, turbo boost, and waste gate) and the headlights over the last year. I am soooooo bummed the Fusion was discontinued.
