  • Best Truck I have ever owned.

I had my 96 until I was T-Boned at a stop light while visiting Spokane. The air bags actually deployed in spite of the vehicle being over 24 years old. I was amazed and it probably saved me from broken bones or a skull fracture. I was sad to see this vehicle go because it was totaled and there is nothing out there that even compares to the great years of service. The model I had included a 3.3L v6 and Posi traction drivetrain with the full towing package. I hauled heavy items across the cascades several times without an issue.

  • Best vehicle yet.

Purchased my XL Extended cab new in 1995. Four cylinder engine, but with the dual plug system. Has 243,000 miles on it, at 236K replaced the timing belt, just replaced the clutch, at 210K did replace some front end steering parts, found out the youngsters ran it in the ditch, kids! So far I have yet to tune it up, just keeps running and running. Best vehicle ever as far as I'm concerned, it was a daily commuter car but has been relegated to work around the neighborhood. Don't know if I can part with it even though I purchased a new vehicle.

  • Bought it new in 1996! It has 206,000 miles!

It speaks for itself. I've owned it for 24 years. I LOVE MY TRUCK! The dealership service department did not fix my truck the first time and on the second time messed up the odometer/trip!

  • Reliable Die Hard Engine

This truck just keeps going! Ranger engines built before year 2000 are known as 'Die Hard'. If you need a basic work truck or fixer-upper this is the one for you! Only two owners, new brakes and power boosters, bed liner good condition.

  • I have had 8 of these down though the years few

Great trucks all have been good to me. The eighths was the best trucks. Wish they would start making them again. The 99 I have now needs some front end work from rust but still runs great.

  • Best Vehicle Owned!

My ranger is the most reliable and economical vehicle I have ever owned. Mine is a 4 cylinder so gets great gas mileage. Great little commuter and I do not haul large or heavy items so a bigger truck is a huge waste of money. I wish the auto makers would keep the midsized truck small or midsized. All the new Ranger, Colorado, Tacoma's are getting so big and expensive, you might as well get a full size. Love my 96 ranger!

  • A worthy steed for all riders

A great vehicle for any task. Not a luxury vehicle, but reliable and very versatile. It has more room then the standard cab which was great for me because I am tall. It was a xlt v-6 so it had plenty of get up when it needed it. It did have 4 wheel drive which is a plus and made it great for little errands or have if a little fun of road. I totally would recommend this vehicle to any one.
