  • Great Value

I recently purchased a '94 Thunderbird, It has a few miles on it but this car is fantastic. Very sharp looking, I think the design ages well. It has a 4.6 V8 that sounds great, however it makes roughly half the power of a modern V8, it does however return surprising mileage for a v8. Considering 21 years has past since it was new, it has fared very well. I've owned a large amount of cars and I'd say that this car is one of the good ones. The interior materials could have been better but are on par for mid-90's offerings. It would make a great first car for a lot of people, especially those who enjoy driving.

  • 1994 Ford Thunderbird

I had the 1994 Ford Thunderbird in LX V8 style. Bought as a program car in November 1994 with 22K miles on it. Drove it for 6.5 years before I wrecked it in a DUI accident in May 2001 with 133K on it. Lasted a long time as you can see by the length of time owned and mileage I put on it. I always loved it's unique body style and the "cockpit" dash that leaned and favored the driver! a far cry from the usual half oval dash style over the instrumentation found on almost every car nowadays!

  • Ford's most underrated car

The 94-95 thunderbird is a well rounded car. I wanted this car because I always thought mustangs were a dime a dozen. This car can fit any engine the mustangs could so it is a good way to have a custom mustang without it being a mustang. You can usually find this car for less than $3k but it is worth every penny. Automatic climate control is stock and the console is very ergonomic and user friendly and has everything u don't know that u need. Aftermarket stereos fit right in and don't require an annoying dash kit. Must-have options are automatic delayed headlights and abs which isn't stock on all these cars. The rare supercoupe also has fog light and suspension control. The exterior looks great maintaining the wide tail lights as all t-birds did before it. If u r like me u will appreciate the almost non existent grille which instead it uses two functional air scoops to very effectively cool the engine down at higher speeds. Unlike most birds before it, the 94+ v8 and sc birds introduced a new transmission which will outlive the engine although will require replacing the front end seal one time in its life. Most complaints about this car is the odometer going out early. The windows will stop working and the doors will sag later in its life. However these are easy fixes in most cases. The front end suspension is known to be weak as most ford mercury vehicles in this time are known for. The v8 is a long lasting engine but performs sub-par being the first ever 4.6 liter engine ford came out with which has been more refined and popular until replaced in 2011 with the new 5.0. But this car handles great and the sc is more powerful and handles even better. The 94-95 thunderbird is just a joy to drive and much more reliable than the design before it with gas mileage almost matching the newer mustang 5.0. This is my favorite car and I hope to have one forever. FYI the naturally aspirated v6 is not recommended for it will always blow the head gasket. A known reliable replacement is required which I haven't researched.

  • Long lasting car

Bought mine new and drove it for almost 300,000 miles and the fuel pump went out. Had problems with the windows and door handles. (reason for low rating on interior design)

  • Unhappy Ford Owner

I bought my T- Bird when it was new.It had a squeak in the front-end that no dealer was able to find and fix so for 14 years I have had to listen to a squeak. Now both windows are broken and estimates to fix a window ranges from $200-$450.00 a piece to fix them. My Odometer stopped working at 80,010 miles. I had to have the transmisson worked on when the car had less than 50,000 miles on it. I only bought the car because my husband has always been a Ford man. You can bet on it my next car will not be a Ford. I am considering either a Honda or a Toyota. Ford has not impressed me with their product.

  • 3 Fords, the best one yet...had for 14 yrs

love this car, wish they still made it. Bought it new and still love it. only reason I gave it 4 stars on exterior, did not like the gap on the hood to the front bumper. other than that it rocks! Great ride, good zip, love the keyless entry!
