What Is the 2024 Lexus LX 600?

The Lexus LX 600 is a luxury full-size SUV that seats five people in its standard two-row form; an available third row ups seating capacity to seven. The LX 600 is the largest, priciest, poshest SUV in Lexus’ lineup, powered by a 409-horsepower, 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that’s mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Trim levels begin with a base Premium and ascend through Luxury, F Sport and flagship Ultra Luxury versions. Four-wheel drive is standard on all trims. The F Sport has a sport-tuned suspension, limited-slip differential and sporty design touches inside and out. The flagship Ultra Luxury carries a price premium of more than $40,000 over the base model; it seats four and includes a height-adjustable suspension, upgraded cabin trim, a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system, and reclining second-row captain’s chairs with ventilation and massage. LX 600 competitors include the Cadillac Escalade, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Land Rover Range Rover, Lincoln Navigator and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class.

What’s New on the 2024 Lexus LX 600?

Should I Buy the 2024 Lexus LX 600?

The LX 600 is a curious mix of old- and new-school SUV characteristics. It has the comfort and convenience features you’d expect in a vehicle with its lofty price tag, plus up-to-date technology features and more off-road capability than most of its buyers will ever use. Its truck-based architecture, however, makes it feel ponderous and top-heavy, even among competitors with similar body-on-frame architecture. It’s also very inefficient in terms of passenger space and cargo room, both of which are disappointingly stingy considering the LX 600’s plus-sized exterior dimensions. Fans of the original Toyota Land Cruiser who want an extra-posh, extra-assertive version of that SUV will find the LX 600 an alluring choice. For others, there are plenty of big luxury SUVs that deliver a more well rounded experience.

2 MAJOR recalls that remain with no fix. Possible engine shavings that could cause a sudden loss of power at a high rate of speed and a passenger airbag system that likely will not deploy in an accident. As if that wasn’t enough-Stereo is mismatched with the wrong amp so it sounds like a cheap stereo. After over a year the dealership acknowledged the issue but no fix on my leased vehicle. The seat position options for comfort are non-existent on the passenger side and limited on the driver. I got the luxury so the back seats are good but I’ve yet to figure out the TV’s and neither son or husband could either. We left Japan and went back to America and back to GM-which has their issues that hopefully are getting resolved by getting away from cheap production and machining. We bought a Escalade 4 months before the lease was even up on the Lexus. That LX 600 Luxury sucked. Lexus should be ashamed.

Always been Loyal to the Toyota/Lexus product but the reliability has definitely gone downhill. one of my family members already had major issues with the new tundra. And that being said my Lexus lx600 has had some engine issues I'm completely saddened, the vehicle is one of a kind and is extremely comfortable and gives every luxury option available, but the new turbos being put into these vehicles was a major mistake. the long-lasting Lexus, Toyota quality has definitely left. look elsewhere.

We purchased a 2024 LX600 F Sport about 6 months and really enjoy it. While we are a Lexus family, we did an exhaustive search of all luxury SUVs before settling on the LX. What we like about the LX: it's a beautiful vehicle inside and out. We love the exterior styling and glad we ended up with the F Sport trim. The interior is gorgeous with impeccable fit and finish. The seats are very comfortable. We like the way it rides. This SUV is built like a tank. No question it is way overbuilt. As long as the Twin Turbo V6 holds up (see some of the issues on the Toyota Tundra), this vehicle should last a very, very long time which is rare these days. We also like how the LXs hold their resale value so much better than any other luxury SUV which will help with overall operating cost. What we don't like as much: smallish gas tank + not great gas mileage = frequent stops at the gas station. There aren't as many bells and whistles as you will find on an Escalade and X7 (more stuff to break in our opinion). While it is about the right size for us, it's does not have as much interior room as other 3-row SUVs. The price - is this (or any car) worth $106k-116k? Overall we love the LX600. It's not perfect but nothing else out there is.

  • Horrible MPH

Fuel economy rated for 17/22. At this time have 1600 miles on it. Actually get between 12/14 mph. so far. After reading reviews from others they get about same. Comfortable, smooth ride wasn’t buying for mileage but wasn’t expecting 12mph.
