2018 Lexus RC F review: Our expert's take

What it is: The Lexus RC F is a performance coupe that stands out from other RC models and some competitors with its 467-horsepower, 5.0-liter V-8 engine. It comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive, an adaptive suspension and a rear wing that deploys automatically based on speed. Competitors include the BMW M4, Cadillac ATS-V and Mercedes-AMG C63 coupe.

Forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane departure warning with steering assist, and adaptive cruise control are now standard. The screen for the optional navigation system grows to 10.3 inches. Enform safety and service features are now provided free for 10 years instead of one, and a one-year/4-gigabyte trial of the Enform Wi-Fi hot spot is included.
