Vehicle Overview

Mercedes-Benz’s two-seat SL-Class retractable-hardtop convertible is constructed almost entirely out of aluminum and equipped with a choice of V-6, V-8 or V-12 power. The SL-Class competes with four-seaters like the BMW 6 Series and Jaguar XK convertibles.

An SL400 model with a 329-horsepower, twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 engine is now available.

  • Two available tops: a glass roof or one that features Magic Sky Control that can change from transparent to opaque
  • Magic Vision Control special heated wiper blades that spray washer fluid in their own path to avoid spraying occupants when the top is down

The SL65 AMG boasts a 621-hp, turbocharged 6.0-liter V-12 engine that sends 738 pounds-feet of torque to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission. Mercedes says the car can go from zero to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.
