Mercedes-Benz’s two-seat SL-Class retractable-hardtop convertible is constructed almost entirely out of aluminum and equipped with a choice of V-6, V-8 or V-12 power. The SL-Class competes with four-seaters like the BMW 6 Series and Jaguar XK convertibles.

An SL400 model with a 329-horsepower, twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 engine is now available.

The SL63 AMG performance car is available with a choice of power output. The twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V-8 engine produces 530 hp and 590 pounds-feet of torque in regular form while the available AMG Performance Package bumps output to 557 hp and 664 pounds-feet of torque.

The SL65 AMG boasts a 621-hp, turbocharged 6.0-liter V-12 engine that sends 738 pounds-feet of torque to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission. Mercedes says the car can go from zero to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.
