Vehicle I loved is now a regret

I loved this vehicle until I tried to transport 3 grandchildren in it. I bought it because of them for its safety and reliability. But I have tried every possible car seat configuration and unless you are 100 lb to fit between the seats without moving them, it is a nightmare! You think you have it figured out then there isn’t a tether attachment for that seat or there aren’t anchors for that seat. There are 3 tether attachments and 3 sets of anchors so you either stand on your head to get the kids in (and then the one in the back has very little room for his feet) or you keep one rear facing (no tether, use the seat belt instead of anchors) for 3 across the middle seat, until one of them gets big enough to change the rear facing out for a booster. The only other way is to make sure you buy one with middle seat captain chairs! Cautionary tale I wish someone had told me. This has turned my purchase of this vehicle into a regret.

Best Car Ever!!!!!

This is my second Highlander. The first was a 2008 model and still in the family running great. This model has also served me well. I have 75,000 miles on it. I bought new tires at 60,000 and just had the battery replaced 3 weeks ago. The car runs great!

Mediocre

Poor handling and loose steering. Uncomfortable ride, noisy. 5000 lb towing capacity is false advertising because car is not wired for trailer brakes. 3rd row seat is midget-sized.

Secure Toyota Owner

So far I love the vehicle! It is a luxury, quiet, smooth driving experience. A huge reason for choosing the Highlander was because of the Toyota reputation for quality, safety and reliability.

Most reliable vehicle I've owned.

Comfortable ride, lot's of leg room and plenty of space for the kids, the dog and everything else. Smooth drive, quiet interior and lots of places to put things. I highly recommend...and I've owned a few vehicles by multiple companies.

Toyota Reliability cant be beat!

I have owned several Toyota vehicles in my life, so when the time came for my wife and I to upgrade our family ride The Highlander was a no brainer for me! The Highlander is very comfortable and very capable, and great on gas!
