The complementary inspection indicated that my X5 needed front brake pads and rotors in addition to the oil/filter change and brake flush I came in for. I am grateful for this heads-up! I appreciate the U. S. Military Veterans? discount as well. Kevin also replaced the batteries in both of my key fobs as well as coaching me on questions I had on the use of the My BMW app! 2024 BMW X1 review
A nice vehicle with some quirks
The 2024 BMW X1 is nimble and responsive. It has an excellent memory for self-driving the car to back out of tight parking spots along the path the driver used to get into it. The car feels spacious inside and is easy to get into. My observed hwy mileage is 36mpg @ 75mph and 22mpg in suburban driving. It’s defects are: 1) the driver must learn how to start from a stop to avoid a sluggish pick-up or a sudden forward jerk; 2) the owner’s manual does not include directions for setting up the electronics, so the owner must resort to a complex cryptic in-car system that is difficult to sort through; 3) the built-in navigation system's is hard to use; the owner will resort to Waze or Car Play; 4) the car is bumpy on rough surfaces, and vibrates like a massage unit on washboard.
