Excellent. Quality work. I would certainly recommend this facility to friends for car / truck repair. Honest answers from the staff and the service people gave my truck a check up looking at things I didn't even think to ask about.
I really enjoyed working with Mr. Patire, He was informative, pleasant and not pushy and will definitely work with him again. However, although I did not finance through the dealership I found the ???finance manager??? Colin Slate to be arrogant and off putting once he realized I had no interest in purchasing any additional warranties or accessories. All and all I would rate my experience a positive one and would recommend anyone not financing through the dealership to opt out of the sit down with Mr. Slate. Bruce seems to be a genuinely nice guy and not your typical sleazy car salesman, Thank you Mr. Patire.
After ten years of Whalen keeping my old Equinox in great shape on the road the time finally came to replace. Whalen had just what I needed and made the process quick and easy with a low mileage 2015 Equinox. I look forward to many more years of great service from the sales, finance parts and service teams.
I reported a problem with the key sticking in the ignition when the car is shut off. Often it takes sever restarts of the car and very firmly pushing the shift into park in order to free the key.. I received an unsatisfactory excuse for fixing the problem. Because it did not happen all of the time. I am considering taking the truck to an Albany dealer.

Nice and easy with no pressure. Very simple and straightforward with no hassles. Completely different from the big dealerships, when we made up our mind we were in and out in an hour. This is where we will buy our next car or truck.

My daughter who is attending Dartmouth College recently had a service problem with her car. We live 15 hours away so I was trying to help her resolve her car issue from a far distance. John Avery in service was wonderful! He kept me up to date on what the repairs were and did his best to speed the service along so my daughter would have her car returned to her as soon as possible. It turns out mice had nested in her car and eaten their way through a number of wires. John and his team thought everything was fixed, and then, they discovered another small spot. They wanted to make certain our car was in good condition before they returned it to our daughter. The dealership is over 45 minutes away from my daughter. She was having a very hard time finding a friend to take her to pick up the car since it was in the middle of exam week. John told me he would take care of her. He drove the car back to my daughter himself and had someone from the dealership pick him up. That is what true customer service is all about. I would definitely recommend Benson's to anyone! Thank you for your help from a mom who really appreciates it!
I recently purchased a Chevy Tahoe that was used. The vehicle was in excellent conditionand was 1 owner. It was originally purchased at this dealership and had all of its service done there as well. A very good representation of Bensons Chevy! My salesman was Dave B. He was extremely helpful through the whole process. He worked hard to get me the financing that fit my budget and made sure the price was right! I will be a returning customer. I love that business is still done without "smoke in mirrors" and the deal is sealed with a hand shake. Bensons chevy is a 5 star place in my eyes
I came from out of state. They are very courteous and laid-back. Way better to work with them than the "suits" you see at many dealers these days. It seems they have clever mechanics working there too. Very highly recommended
I have a very nice 1996 Chevy Impala SS that needed a flush of the cooling system. I came to Whalen Chevrolet for a BG flush. As I arrived, in their parking lot, a plastic tee in one of the heater hoses burst. Whalen replaced the tee fitting and did the flush ... got the car back later the same day. Go Whalen !!!
A long ride from my home, but well worth the trip. When I emailed the dealership with questions - they were quick to get back to me. Salesman Jason Lacroix was honest and up front about the vehicle, and he worked hard to get into the shop quickly for detail and tech inspection. Being from out of state, the Vermont dealerships cannot perform a NY inspection - and Jason made me aware of any potential issues that my state might look at. He was very thorough going over the details - but not pushy. He took his time and answered all the questions I had. I've purchased other vehicles through different dealerships over the years, but this has been my most relaxed and positive car-buying experience.
