2024 Stingray Z51 Convertible. Great buying experience and no issues in 7 months and 5K miles. Great features and and runs great with better than expected fuel mileage. Just a couple Cons - Run flat summer tires are somewhat noisy and not offered with adaptive cruise.

I always wanted a Jaguar XK-8 in the early 2000s, so bought a Coupe NEW from Rosenthal in N. VA. I love to drive it and it is a "Head-Turner". I have had it maintained/serviced religiously, and have had no issues of note . . . and it is currently performing like new! Selling only because my wife has difficulty getting in & out due to age issues and wants a sedan!? It is a GREAT car that I am regrettably selling.

In 2002 they sold over MSRP adjusted for inflation @$54K in todays money- pricier than the 2002 Corvette and sold like 30,000 that year. I think that new car buyer had to probably be searching for the 1955 Thunderbird experience to shell out that kind of cash, and most people born on the 60’s and 70’s just didn’t understand that appeal. Oddly, the demographic that did BABIED their cars, kept up maintenance, have all the original tools and covers (just try and find that T-handle wrench for the hard top for example) when you get lucky enough to get a shot at buying one of these babies cars you’ll find they’re sharp and quick, amazingly so despite what people someone lent one to to write about said 20 years ago. Shod with 17inch tires 🛞 and solid suspension, people can complain about the horsepower being light, but stomp it and it will jump, zoom and weave solidly with the best of them. My drive home from buying this car was a blast. Will other sports models eke out slightly better speed, power and performance over these 20 year old T-birds? Sure, why not. Does it matter if you’re not at Road Atlanta? No. For me, this a sleeper sports car that’s about to bust onto the scene and see its reputation finally living up to the 2002 Car of the Year Award Motor Trend gave it. I think you need to find one of these babied sweethearts like I did. It’s a blast to find a good one and discover what an under rated blast it is to drive. Can’t really call it super nimble, but I respect mines solid ride and reasonably quick response & rocket like performance. The incredibly clean lines scream style visually and I suggest that a 2 tone leather optional interior is worth an extra $1K (over the basic. $11-12 K value) a hard top/rack/tonneau cover intact is worth another grand. ($13-14K total seems fair generally for a babied one). Check the rubber suspension parts underneath (inside the front wheel well behind the tire) is the easiest one to check quickly for rot w/o getting under the rear).

I really like my 2017 mustang Roush, The only complaints are the front bumper clips break easy and most of all the paint is less than paper thin and in 4 years was flaking off around back window it sad such an expensive car. THE BIGGEST THING IS THERE IS NO BLUE BOOK FOR ROUSH.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Camaros. I had been in the market for a couple of years, lo and behold this Camaro became available. From the moment that I saw its sleek style to the first time I sat in the drivers seat that just seems to wrap around me up to when I fired it up and felt the horses run on this powerful V6 engine, I fell in love. This car fits me well. The throttle response is unbelievable. Steering is nothing short of effortless. The exhaust tone gives me a reason to turn off the stereo. As the the commercial from the 70’s says… Try it, you’ll like it!

On December 10th, 2024, I purchased a red 2015 Corvette Stingray Convertible 3LT from Country Chevrolet in Warrenton, Virginia. I have purchased 26 new and used cars in my life, and I have to say this was by far the best buying experience I have ever had in my life. My first car was a new 1980 Corvette, and I evolved into planning for my last car to be a red corvette convertible. After much research, lots of shopping, and numerous test drives, I found this car listed on-line at Country Chevrolet at a listed price in the range I was looking for. I called and set up a test Drive for the wife and me. We drove up to the dealership and noticed one or two folks outside who immediately said hi, welcomed us to the dealership and went to get the salesman for our test drive. The environment at this dealership was more welcoming than any Chevy dealership I had ever been to. When Kirk Hughes, our sales consultant introduced himself, we could clearly see we had found at great person to work with. Kirk is friendly, professional, and an absolute expert in corvettes and cars in general. Kirk is by far one of the best salesmen I have ever met. I consider myself a car person, as I enjoy buying, selling and talking about cars. I also perform much of the simple maintenance tasks like changing fluids, brakes and normal maintenance items. I purchased a torch red 92 in October 2023 with 36,000 miles on it and have changed the tires, battery, plugs, wires, air filter, 02 sensor on driver side and it runs and drives like a dream while getting plenty of compliments. I did own a 94 12 years back but it was not as much fun as this one has been. Nothing more fun than cruising with the top down and the tunes up! If you own one with the Opti-spark, check the recall list on GM, you may be due for the updated version at GMs expense. I have replaced one on my 94 and they are a pain in the aXX to replace.

I spend about $1000-$2000 each year on maintenance. One may consider that high, but I purchased a 911 C4S car for $35,000; the MSRP was $93,000 in 2004. The vehicle has appreciated since 2019, and now, with such a detailed service history over the years, it could sell for $40,000. So you either pay in depreciation or maintenance, and though I may be a stickler for maintenance, it keeps the value stable. I could have gotten a new Camry for $35,000, but it would be worth about $15,000 now and less fun. Next car I will jump up to a 2012 to 2015 Porsche. You can't go wrong if you get the right model, rare options, and even rare colors. Number one is having complete maintenance records; don't buy one without them.

I find this car fun to drive. I belong to a Miata Club and we take rides into the rural areas of NJ where there are many winding roads and this car performs really well.The suspension is a little stiff but you have to expect that in a little sports car. The only complaint is that it could use a little more horsepower, it's about 150 but the newer cars are now 180
