Joey Cortez was helpful and nice! I went in stressed and Joey was able to provide a calm and helpful service. I left feeling 100x better!
2024 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
I traded my 2021 Santa Fe for the 2024 Santa Cruz as the exterior of the Santa Fe for 2024 to me was a turn off. Great decision, Santa Cruz is a pleasure to drive, great gas mileage and reliable. Only shortfall is the leaky bed cover. Dealer said it couldn't be fixed.

The first sales agent wasn't listening to what I was saying. He seemed very pushy to me. The second sales agent didn't seem pushy but wasn't hearing what I was saying either. At that point we were ready to go somewhere else. If it wasn't for Kassandra Bueno and Joe Gacad, we would have bought a Truck from a different dealership. Kassandra changed a negative experience, into a positive experience for us. She listened to what I was saying and was so helpful and honest. We enjoyed working with her and Joe. Thank you so much for all your help.
2024 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
Had my night for 16 months, no problems, wicked fast with the turbo. Great combination of truck, suv and sports car. 25 mpg around town, over 30 on some highway trips. Comfortable ride with all the new stuff, phone projection, lane departure, driver assist, etc. Hyundai dealerships suck, I do most of the maintence myself.

Julian helped us secure the exact model and trim we had been looking for as soon as it became available. He quickly responded to both emails and texts, answering our questions and addressing any concerns that arose as we came to an agreement on the purchase. During our drive to the dealership Julian kept us updated on the vehicle's preparation and even sent us pictures of the newly washed car that awaited us. When we finally met in person he was very professional and courteous while walking us through the paperwork, explaining the features of the car, and patiently answering any questions we had.
2023 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
I have had my 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz for two years now. It has 52,000 miles on it because I do Home Health for a living. It is not uncommon for me to put 30,000 miles a year on a vehicle. I am still riding on two of the original four tires the vehicle came with. Two tires had to be replaced roughly a year ago due to road debris. I purchased a monthly car wash club membership and 98% of the time after I wash it I use Meguires Quick Spray Wax to do a quick 10 minute wax on wipe off which keeps the paint job looking like new. I get oil changes roughly every 7500 miles although the dealership says that is too soon. With all the stopping and starting multiple times a day, I feel it necessary. I used up all my free oil changes in one year instead of two. I’ve had absolutely no issues with the vehicle. I am so glad I bought it. It rides and drives like an SUV but with the benefit of having the small 4 foot truck bed. It’s a perfect height and size. It is the standard four-cylinder engine which, once you get used to it, is not so bad. It has enough get up and go when needed, although if I would have been exposed to the turbo engine, I may have spent the extra money. It’s not uncommon for me to get 32 mpg on the freeway when my cruise control is set. One time driving slower than speed limit I got 39 mpg! I purchased a black SEL model. Sunroof does not leak and works just fine. I did take the dealership up on their offer to tint windows which has definitely made the vehicle cooler. Ability to clean the interior in the seats is relatively easy and does not take long for the seats to dry after using a upholstery cleaner for weekly light spot checks. The only things I would change would be the rims, and possibly put 20 inch tires instead of 18, and the stereo system. (And the color- It was supposed to be blue). The rims coming on the newer Santa Cruz’s have a much more desirable design, and I believe there is an upgraded stereo system available. Leather seats would be nice. 😊 I am frequently asked how I like my 23 Santa Cruz . I have owned over the years; Veloster, Santa Fe, and Accent. Them, along with a 1990 Suzuki Samurai and a 86’ Toy 4-Runner, were the best vehicles I have ever owned in my life. As long as I can keep it out of flood waters, or avoid approaching 90° turns on country roads in the middle of the night with no street lights, driving 45 miles an hour, this will be the last vehicle I own.

Recently I had to get a newer car and believe me I was stressed because of the situation but when I went to CarMax which this is my second car from them it was once again amazing to work with them! I had the pleasure of working with 2 amazing sales associates. Helen Mayo who was my main sales associate and Cheyeene Toliver who helped out my wife and myself when Helen was off! They both were very kind and helpful and made the process an ease! I was thinking of other options but since they were amazing I went with them instead if your looking for a car I highly recommend you ask for either of these two women they are a great help!
2023 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
Good pick up truck over all but I would have some changes. 1st - Exterior. Front grill has too big opening spaces. It has potentially hazard to damage radiator with flying stones or debris get into it. Hyundai need to figure it out how to place electric plug for towing in the are next to license plate. I had to install under rear bumper and if i would have to put my boat in the water all the time, electric plug would submerge under the water and it would have it short it and potentially get on fire. 2- Interior. I believe sunroof 95% of the owners are not using it, instead i would like to have automatic window in the rear windshield instead of sunroof. Rear seats could be a inch shorter and it would gave a little more leg room to get in 3rd - Power train. I have SEL Premium trim with 2.5 Turbo engine AWD with 5K towing capacity. Excellent power train but would be nice to have hybrid or fully electric with same capacity.

This was the most relaxed and efficient purchase my wife and I have ever made. We were in and out with a RAV4 in less than two hours, including a test drive. The salesman, Joshua, was fantastic. There was zero pressure to buy but lots of information and help in making our decision.
2022 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
Purchased a used 2022 Santa Cruz with 25,000 miles. So far it’s the best vehicle I’ve owned. For starters, it’s a beautiful looking vehicle. I live in a rural country area and folks have approached me giving compliments and asking about the truck. It does stand out as a unique “truck” since they haven’t been out for very long. The interior on the premium SEL package is luxurious. Worth the extra money for the sun roof and heated seats. Seats are way more comfortable than the Elantra which I traded in. Performance is impressive. The Sel premium comes with the 2.5 turbo which is more power than I really need but I love the extra umph when getting onto the highway. The AWD is perfect for New England weather. I think the blind spots were worse in the Elantra compared to the Santa Cruz which was surprising. Great safety features, comfortable ride. Has everything I need in a small truck. The Tonnaeu cover in the back looks sexy and is worth spending extra to get the premium package. I can’t wait to add more accessories to my little truck. If you have the money i recommend checking out the Limited or XRT package. Nothing negative to report so far.

Super Great but just a touch high of interest, I didn’t like of they put on me
2025 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
I can't tell you how happy I am with this truck! In fact, out of all the new cars I've ever bought, this is my favorite. I wanted a truck, girlfriend wanted an SUV, then we found this and we both love it. Honestly, we were initially attracted to the styling -- it's a bad**s looking truck, and very unique. We love the way it drives, which is like a small performance SUV, and not at all truck-like. The interior is not plush, but very comfortable. The displays and controls aren't cluttered, with everything well designed and easy to find. It's packed with very useful features for an extremely reasonable price, and so far I haven't found anything I don't like.

2024 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
Love my truck so much! It has plenty of leg room for my long legs! It drives smooth on long road trips! The back has been useful for moving large objects better than a SUV. It gives me both worlds truck and SUV feel. I highly recommend if you want a truck but the big ones are too much to handle!

2022 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
We have a 2022 Limited with 24000 miles. It serves its purpose well with the ability to cary bark dust and as a daily driver. The creature comforts are very nice with the cooled seats and the heated steering wheel. is inexcusable that the top model has a manual passenger seat. The headlights are the worst I have ever driven with.

2023 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
I really love my new truck...feel price was pretty much on the mark, the features are great, I have had it a month & still getting used to all its offeres. Back seat is a little tight, but I can fit and I don't really carry passengers, I did get an 'after market' bed cover for it ( which I feel I paid to much for the less than 100% quality) Over all I like the truck. (* I traded a 2021 jeep compass , which I thought 'per KBB' was worth more than the dealer allowed me) *

They were honest, above 100 honesty. I went to Hyundai of Camarillo or Oxnard a year before to service my 2013 Sonata Hybrid and they tried to scr... me with the warranty. When I heard from Westlake people how much coverage I HAVE FOR THE NEXT 70k miles or 3 more years they make my day. Never going back or recommend Hyundai of Oxnard/Camarillo AGAIN!
2026 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
Only have had it one month, just a couple negatives 1) Key fob very low quality, looks like a cheap plastic Easter egg. I have never had one this low quality. 2) The part that positions the seat belt buckle high or low is a “rubber band”, Never seen that. 3) The steering wheel should be a little wider on the top so you can view the screen/gages better. The ride is nice, Power is there when you want it.

Westlake Hyundai review
I’ve just gotten my first car and am SO glad that I came to Westlake Hyundai. My parents have been in the car business for many years, so I have of course heard just about every horror story there is about buying a car. My experience was amazing! Everyone is beyond welcoming and helpful. Eric and Carinsa made the process incredibly quick, smooth, and painless; and James was so kind as to walk me through the features of my vehicle. We practically signed and were on our way! Everyone here at Westlake Hyundai have definitely made me comfortable and excited as a new driver. I will always be a customer, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I love my new Elantra <3
