2008 Jeep Patriot review
I got this car a year ago and it was totally misused by it's previous owners. When I got it I could tell that it had been taken mudding so I was pretty skeptical, but as I got accustomed to it and changed out the suspension and quick struts, my car drove like a dream. It is definitely a great car with great audio. Definitely recommend for new drivers.

2016 Jeep Cherokee review
Was at dealership shopping and this new Jeep Cherokee Lattitude came in on transport. Wanted it the minute I saw it. Jeep dealership had ordered it custom with every option I wanted. Blackout package, V6 a true dual exhaust, sport, power everthing, 4x4 etc. The 4x4 is excellent and never failed me! Its been flawless, aftermarket tuning has turned it into a screaming black speed machine. 112,000 miles so far. No issues with anything! Would buy another if they still made this Cherokee Latitude Special! One very satisfied customer!!!

2017 Jeep Cherokee review
I have the Trailhawk trim, the serious off-road version. Finally, a car that I can confidently drive in and out of rough construction sites, and not be afraid that I'll break it or get it stuck. It is possessed by a powerful spirit of wanderlust, and frequently demands that I take it on drives just to see places it hasn't yet been, preferably places that normal cars cannot go. If Don Quixote de La Mancha lived in our time, he would surely drive a vehicle like this one; a vehicle truly fit for a modern Knight Errant. I didn't know until a few days after I bought it, and I don't think the dealership knew either, but this one has about a 2" aftermarket lift, and slightly larger tires than stock.

2008 Jeep Liberty review
Just sold my 2008 liberty limited. 162K no problems 12 years in NJ and 5 years in rochester NY. Buyer had friend mechanic check it out told buyer good buy, good condition. Never garage kept. No dirt off road but plenty of round town and 300 mile trips. Daughter loved it as teenager also. Fun for many years will miss it.

2012 Jeep Patriot review
I've had my Patriot for about 3 yrs now. I purchased with 82K on it and am up to 98K. The CVT took a bit to get used to as far as being not very quick when accelerating. I'm used to it now and it keeps me from having a lead foot...lol. Otherwise I've had no major problems and it serves it's purpose and is good in the snow.

2017 Jeep Patriot review
CVT trans went out at 90,000 miles. Prior to that I called the dealership and’s was told it was too early to get serviced. Kept driving another 1k. Afterwards the trans went out ! xxxxxx me off. Car still sits in driveway not driven. Solenoid that controls speed is stuck. When you give it gas it slows down. Every auto shop I call says it’s not worth rebuilding trans because you can’t find parts. Dealership says they only swap them out and new trans is $8,700 that’s with labor! 8 week back order for trans. Ridiculous… $8,700 is another car. I gave insight to say this; buyer beware of CVT transmissions. Use your own judgement for service. Get it looked at every 30k miles. Try to buy a car that doesn’t have one. Lesson learned…

2014 Jeep Compass review
2014 Jeep Compass: I’ve had some issues with my Jeep but overall I’ve loved it. Bought it in 2016 with 34,000 miles on it. Now January 2026 I have 146,000 miles. Seems that things started to happen when it turned 10 years old. Tends to rust in the same places with all these jeeps (lower door trim, lower hatch trim). Had to get both front bearings replaced about $350 each side (suspension needs to maintained per manual timelines then you’ll have no problem), drivers window pulley broke and did repair myself, replaced throttle body myself (my fault for not keeping enough gas in the car). With that, I would recommend going above 3 in RPMs every now and again to teach your throttlebody to open wider. I’ve always kept RPM’s under 2.5. Stereo went out which is common in these models (went ahead and got a aftermarket stereo), drivers power window switch replaced (did myself for $80). Also, check engine light WILL come on if an oil change is needed. If your dash says oil change, you’re already waaaay too low. Now, my coolant is leaking around the cap. Thankfully it’s an easy fix I can do myself (about $100 repair). If you’re handy, these vehicles are easy to work on and if you keep them maintained, they will last a long while. With regular maintenance, I hope to keep it for another 150,000 miles. Oh yeah, 4WD gets stuck on or off sometimes. Not sure why but always seems to happen in the winter. Go figure.

2016 Jeep Patriot review
I purchased a new 2016 Jeep Patriot Sport SE and have now owned if for 9.5 years with 150k miles. No issues, no leaks, kept it maintained following manufacturer guidelines, zero major repairs. Great vehicle for daily driver, hauling kayaks, bikes and other toys. Drove through dry, wet, snow, sleet and spent most weekends on forest service roads heading towards a hike. Just took it on a 1400 mile trip and it gave us 26.4 mph!

2011 Jeep Liberty review
I have the Limited model 4X2 which is otherwise loaded with options and bought from my brother who’s daughter had since new and currently has 119,000 miles. After detailing the vehicle which didn’t take as much time as I normally would on a 8 year old car to bring it to my cosmetic standards, I realized that this vehicle’s exterior paint quality is impressive for being Black in color as well as other styling components being well made. I admired the vehicle after I put 8 solid hours into it and said to myself “What a kick “Butt” looking Jeep” - I have the Limited model (loaded otherwise) and bought from my brother who’s daughter had since new, currently has 119,000 miles. After detailing the vehicle which didn’t take as much time as I normally would on a 8 year old car to bring it to my cosmetic standards, I realized that this vehicle’s exterior paint quality is impressive for being Black in color. Yes you need to push the gas pedal a bit more just to get it moving from a stand still in a parking lot as an example, but come on, it’s 5,000 pounds and all muscle. Fuel mileage is HORRIBLE and worse then my 2015 E Class Mercedes V6 which shocked me. When I first took it out on the road, I could immediately feel the the solid all around quality of the suspension. I really like the thick leather wrapped steering wheel. The “Infinity” entertainment system along with the Touch Screen is an all around great system and very responsive with no lag when using the touch screen. The sound quality is incredible and the factory Sub Wofer mounted in the rear gives you the sense of being in a dance club. I do my own general maintenance and this Jeep is real easy to work on. I’ve read that the Transmission can go out around 100,000 miles but my brother has done regular service 2X previously and I just did it when I took possession at 119,000 miles. The leather seats are poor quality but I use Maguire's products to keep the seat surfaces from abnormal cracking and so far they are holding up. The dash has a small screen to scroll through different parts of the vehicle’s status like tire pressure on all wheels, etc.. The designers/engineers spent a lot of time on building a solid vehicle. It’s not a Toyota and you have to expect a higher repair rate, but if you keep on top of important general & regular maintenance, you will have a higher rate of reliability. I only use Mobil 1 Oil and Mobil 1 Oil Filters which is the most critical service of any vehicle. dal a bit more just to get it moving from a stand still in a parking lot as an example, but come on, it’s 5,000 pounds and all muscle. When I first took it out on the road, I could immediately feel the the solid all around quality of the suspension. I really like the thick leather wrapped steering wheel. The “Infinity” entertainment system along with the Touch Screen is an all around great system and very responsive with no lag when using the touch screen. The sound quality is incredible and the factory Sub Wofer mounted in the rear gives you the sense of being in a dance club. I do my own general maintenance and this Jeep is real easy to work on. I’ve read that the Transmission can go out around 100,000 miles but my brother has done regular service 2X previously and I just did it when I took possession at 119,000 miles. The leather seats are poor quality but I use Maguire's products to keep the seat surfaces from abnormal cracking and so far they are holding up. The dash has a small screen to scroll through different parts of the vehicle’s status like tire pressure on all wheels, etc.. The designers/engineers spent a lot of time on building a solid vehicle. 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee review
Bought this SUV last week. My "new" 2012 JGC had 227,000 miles on it. The salesperson didn't know much about the Jeep, as it was a Ford dealership I had gone to. Two days later, I had to go for preparations to bury my son, over 800 miles away. I was very fearful, because I had this JGC that I had never driven before, and I was on this journey alone. I have seen so many cars with temp plates sitting on the side of the road, and was fearful mine could just be another one. Needless to say, the only 2 things I haven't liked about my vehicle transaction, is that there is no owners manual, and evidently the sensor for low fuel doesn't work. I knew about the owners manual before the purchase, but not the low fuel indicator. I will just fill up at 1/4 tank asI always have. LOVE, LOVE this vehicle.....stylish, comfy, and all the perks. Auto start and heated seats will surely be welcomed as winter can hit hard here in the midwest. So far, the best car I've had, and I've had a lot over the last 55 years!

2009 Jeep Liberty review
My parents bought this new back in 2009 and after a car accident that totaled my first truck (01 Chevy S10), my mom gave me this and I love every bit of it!! I’ve had it in my possession about 5 years now and it’s such a fun vehicle. The 4WD is amazing and it’s capabilities are really impressive! With the right driving on a trail, lifted truck owners look at me sometimes and say “Ain’t no way a Liberty did that!”. It’s a solid SUV. I use mine as both a daily and a weekend warrior (not too hard because I have to drive it home) and it’s a great vehicle all in all! Gas mileage could be a little better but it’s a V6 Jeep, what do you expect. I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who wants to get into Overlanding or anyone who just wants a fun Jeep for their buck! Keep up with maintenance (as you should with every vehicle) and it’ll treat you right! The selections only let me choose “New” or “Used” but I’d say both because it was new to my Mom and Dad but used obviously when I got it. Along with “Primary Use”, I use it to both commute to work and have some fun but it would only let me choose one.

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee review
Bought one for my son for college. Had 108K, now as 190K. Can't complaint. Safe, reliable and very comfortable. Did have to replace the oil cooler assembly, but that's a given on a 3.6. Other than that, tires, brake pads, the usual. It's been a winner.

2008 Jeep Patriot review
I got this car a year ago and it was totally misused by it's previous owners. When I got it I could tell that it had been taken mudding so I was pretty skeptical, but as I got accustomed to it and changed out the suspension and quick struts, my car drove like a dream. It is definitely a great car with great audio. Definitely recommend for new drivers.

2012 Jeep Liberty review
I love my Liberty! I was inspired to buy mine (used) after temporarily inheriting my Dad’s 2008 Liberty. I’ll comment on the 2008, then the 2012. 2008: Bought brand new out of the showroom; it was an everyday driver and has been very reliable. No problems with the engine or transmission, 4-wheel drive works great. Some very minor issues with the power window switch, it stopped working, but easy fix. The AC takes a little while to cool the interior down, but it hasn’t been serviced or recharged. This Liberty just turned 300,000 and is still running well! 2012 bought used with 65,000. This Liberty is also a daily driver. The engine and Transmission are fine, no issues. The 4-wheel drive system has been good as well. Used it several times on snowy unplowed Wisconsin roads and it has been solid. Holds skis, snowboards really well. Biggest service item will be new tires. One minor issue with the AM/FM radio, the receiver chip in the radio went bad, so no AM/FM. But the CD and Jack work fine. This Liberty just crossed 125,000 and is running like a champ. Final note: I hated the look and everything about the Liberty when my Dad bought his. Then I drove it. Complete game changer; now I absolutely love it!
