2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata review
Puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. The only thing I would change is put the glove box and CD player in a better reachable spot. They are located between the seats and behind the driver so you can’t reach them from the drivers seat.

1991 Mazda RX-7 review
For a long time the second gen RX-7 was underrated and under appreciated by sports car enthusiasts. The Rotary power plant in these cars seems like a great mechanical mystery to many car lovers. We all know how the saying goes but I will say it again "People are afraid of things they don't understand." I have had several of these cars and each one had it's own soulful story. In my opinion many of these cars were mistreated and poorly maintained so it can be difficult to find a nice one. The Mazda Rx-7 is one of the best handling sports cars to come from the mid 80s and you can still see them beating up much more expensive newer cars at local track days. The body lines are timeless. Just like with any car, if improperly maintained they are good at generating crazy expensive repair bills. While the rotary is mechanically a lot less prone to failure than a piston engine any kind auxiliary control device failure can cook the engine quick. The engines are very expensive to replace so it's important to keep up with regular maintenance. They are really cool classic but I would not recommend buying one with out doing some research first.

2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata review
December 2024 bought a 2023 Mazda Miata Grand Touring with 34,500 miles. Drove the car from South Florida to the SC coast, 10 hours. Fantastic fun drive! 6 speed manual with a soft top only weighs 2350 pounds, spirited ride, excellent power and fuel economy, 35 mpg. Good tech with blind spot monitors, cruise, power windows and locks. Push button start, heated seats and navigation just enough tech. Puts a smile on your face just looking at it, lots of compliments and you are just happy driving this magnificent, magical machine!! Just love it! 🥰

As a regular customer at the service department I always ask for the consistently courteous and flawless management of my vehicle requests by Oscar Galatia. Under Oscar’s guidance from his earliest work with Autobarn Mazda of Evanston to date, I never have had to return to him with a complaint that the work had been done poorly, with mistakes made, or required work not having been done at all. Yes, good work by mechanics have made that possible, but only under the tight, intelligent, direction and inspection of Galatia. He also has a pleasing and satisfying way of dealing with all of his customers whom I have observed close up when I have regularly waited with other customers to have their vehicles worked on and returned. Because of Oscar and the work results he has managed and produced, I have frequently recommended Autobarn and it’s excellent service work and Service Advisor management to others who need a place recommended for consistently good prices, management, and charges. I suggest that management do whatever it can to retain the services of its multi-talented and perceptive Service Advisor Oscar Galatia. He is well trained, experienced, intelligent, and dedicated as I have seen first hand when he has worked with me. 1993 Mazda MX-5 Miata review
My 1993, black with tan leather interior and tan top Miata. Oh, it has the automatic transmission as well. Where do you start? It is by far the most fun car I have ever owned. Change the oil, basic maintenance and it just goes. I get 30+ mpg on outings where I sportingly cruise NC mountain roads. It has just enough room for my wife and I to pack for long weekend trips. Longer trips require using the luggage rack on the trunk. The hard top is great in the winter, and the soft top is easy to use the rest of the year. The automatic is great in city traffic, I prefer a manual, but I can go around corners just as fast with the auto. My car is mechanically stock and sounds wonderful going through the rev range. Drive it as it was designed to be driven and it rewards you with loads of fun. It wants to be finnessed, driving with to aggressive inputs will unsettle the car and it will get squirrely on you. If you want a fun, reliable car a Miata is a must have. Oh, at 6'3" I fit a little tight, but I can travel for hours having fun. Getting in and out with the tops in place requires judicious maneuvering. JP

2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata review
We have owned the car for a month and have put on 3,000 miles. Its a lot of fun to drive but the passenger side is really lacking in leg room and the center console controls are difficult to get to. Its a real head turner!

1994 Mazda MX-5 Miata review
I was recently given a 1994 MX5 for free due to the fact it did not have a title. My first thoughts were to just detail the car and sell it, But after driving it home, I was honestly impressed. I’ve now owned it for one week and in the works of getting the title and have no desire to sell the car. That little 1.8 5 speed manual won me over and this is coming from someone who has built many 70s muscle cars. The car is stock, and I plan on keeping it that way, except for some minor engine mods, changing the ragtop into a hardtop convertible and possibly a different rim & tire package.

1999 Mazda MX-5 Miata review
Really an amazing car. Mazda just hit the mark for a fun to drive roadster without requiring sacrifice in terms of longevity, reliability or dependability. The handling is balanced and forgiving, while maintaining a reasonably comfortable ride. It has enough power and though it won't win a stoplight drag race it will embarrass much more powerful cars on a twisty road.
