2007 MINI Cooper S review
When it was newer the engine had some issues and a couple of recalls. I had the engine replaced because of a piece of metal getting into a cylinder. That when it was 10 years old and had 105,000 miles on it. Since then mostly maintenance. I do some myself. I enjoy driving it more than any car I've had before. The fastest, best handling and most economical, gas wise of any of them. I've gotten as much as 44mpg with it on a trip. Only mods I made to the engine are a K&N air filter cleanable cartridge and a blow off valve for the turbocharger.

I've not driven it yet, but we investigated everything from the variable valve system to the turbo charger and watched a video of a complete teardown of the engine. I love this car. It’s quick and feels like driving a go-kart. So fun to drive and still fuel efficient. Interior is very different from 90% of card out there that have the same layout.

Makes for an entertaining daily commute. Quick enough to be interesting but without overpowering the chassis. BMW build quality along with the typical BMW maintenance requirements (correct oil is >$50 for an oil change).
