I bought a lovely E400, which was totalled by a truck after only 4 months. I went back and they had another E400 - this time a convertable. I bought the car "as is" - however, there were some problems and one in particular I felt compelled to reach out about. They truly didn't have to do anything, however, the paid for the issue, and as well, threw in an extra that was big and totally unexpected. I cannot say enough - I think everyone knows how tough buying a car is, especially pre-owned and how the follow-up afterwards can be so challenging. I generally would have sucked it up and just not bothered. Vinnie even called me from home after work and the GM saw me immediately within 24 hours. I picked up a 2026 Expedition Platinum with the Ultimate package a few weeks ago and I’ve been really happy with it so far. First, I’ve got to mention my sales guy, Tom Spicer. He made the whole process easy—no runaround, no wasting time, just straight to the point. That alone made a big difference. As soon as I got it, I had all the windows tinted (everything except the pano roof), and went with ceramic tint. I also added clear ceramic on the windshield. It looks great and makes a huge difference here in the Florida heat. Driving it has honestly been the biggest surprise. For a big SUV, it’s super smooth and feels really solid. But the engine is what really got me. It absolutely screams when you get on it. This is definitely not the same kind of 6-cylinder I had in my 2019 Explorer—it’s a completely different animal. When you need to get up to speed, it does it fast without even trying. Inside is exactly what you’d expect from a Platinum—really comfortable, loaded with tech, and just a nice place to be. One thing I didn’t expect was how good the B&O sound system is. I believe it’s 22 speakers with a separate sub, and it really rocks. Easily one of the better factory systems I’ve heard. BlueCruise is also a nice bonus and makes highway driving a lot more relaxed. Overall, no regrets at all. It’s smooth, quick, comfortable, and just feels like a big upgrade all around.
