I visited several dealerships looking for a very specific car with certain features, and I couldn’t find it anywhere. At one point, another dealership even tried to sell me a lower model for more than the higher model I actually wanted. When I went to Ventura Toyota, Eddie was able to quickly locate the exact car I had been searching for. He was honest, straightforward, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Eddie was also very patient with my elderly grandfather, took the time to answer all of our questions, and made everything simple and stress-free. One of the best parts was that there were no outrageous markups on the car like I saw at other dealerships. When the car arrived we did a test drive and he went over so many thing about the car, he stayed until closing to help me finish the paperwork, set up my phone, and walk me through all the tech features. The next day he even checked in to make sure everything was going well and reminded me I could contact him anytime if I needed help. Eddie truly went above and beyond, and it was one of the best car-buying experiences I’ve had. When it’s time for my next car, I will absolutely be coming back to Ventura Toyota and asking for Eddie.

2026 Chevrolet Blazer EV review
2026 Chevy Blazer EV is as reliable as my 2018 Chevy Colorado, never give me any hiccup. Blazer is superior than my 2020 Chevy Bolt EV in performance as well as the looks. I recommend every red blooded American to give this car a test drive and you will be blasted by it's performance. I love the regenerative braking feature that I barely use my brake and saving the brake pads as well as the environment. Especially in this high price gasoline world today.

2026 Honda Ridgeline review
Ridgeline Black Edition, the top-of-the-line model, is a great light utility vehicle that also makes a great daily driver. As comfortable to drive as a car. Gets good gas mileage for a truck and has many outstanding safety features, which is why I bought it again after owning two. Next year is going to be a major upgrade. The current model does not have all the features of the Honda Pilot, which has the same engine. Upgraded stereo, heated and cooled seats, and a place to charge your phone without connecting with a cable. Electronics are somewhat confusing because they are layered. Really good view out the front and side. Only black interior. Locked trunk in bed. AC outlet in bed. Quick in acceleration, 0-60 in about six seconds if needed. Steering is somewhat heavy and not exactly as precise as my last model. Overall, this is my third, and I keep coming back because it works for me. AWD can tow 5000 lbs. The black edition comes in three colors: Black, White, and Sonic Gray Pearl, which I bought, and many have commented on. Would I buy again or wait till next year when a hybrid comes out? I needed the safety features now, and the first year of a new edition generally is not that reliable.

2026 Nissan Rogue review

2026 Chevrolet Equinox review
The Equinox is a nice SUV, that can be fully loaded and still not break the bank. My Equinox has full power, A/C & heated seats, sunroof with a fully, customizable, large display panel. The rear seats are also heated and comfortable to ride in with plenty of room. The heated steering wheel wraps up the luxury. The engine is a little anemic with a 1.5l turbo and FWD with the CVT transmission. With one person, it is okay, but as you add people, the engine bogs down. However, the mpg whether loaded or not are fantastic with my average of 26mpg consistently. The ride is very comfortable and it competes with many luxury brands for comfort and ride. The design and sleek front end make it a very attractive drive. I would say that if you are looking for a fully appointed vehicle in the crossover size SUVs that won’t break the bank, check out the Equinox. Whether a daily driver, a small family or traveling, this platform provides high comfort and good quality that competes in this marketplace.

2026 Nissan Altima review
Very nice ride, quiet interior, big and easy display on dash, seats are comfortable,decent size trunk, awd will be a plus in winter. I have SR trim with the premium package so it is loaded with all the goodies. Only downside wish it had a little more zip like 30 more hp. But gas mileage is good around 33 hwy, 26 city on regular gas.

2026 Mazda CX-50 Hybrid review
I have owned two Mazdas in the past so I thought I would look at a third. I wanted a hybrid this time, so knowing that Mazda hasn't really gotten into the hybrid game I was skeptical with the CX50 hybrid. I did alot of online, and magazine article research on this vehicle as well as others. There are a number of options out there, but what sold me on the CX50 is that 1) The other Mazdas I have owned were extremely reliable, 2} The CX50 has the same fourth (I believe it's the fourth) generation Toyota 2.5 liter hybrid engine and e-cvt transmission that was used in the RAV 4 which is highly rated and 3) Mazda just knows how to make a extremely engaging fun to drive vehicle than most. As most vehicles go, this one isn't perfect. I have noticed the road noise is worse than the CX5 I used to have. It's not terrible by any means, just more noticable. I know there are tires out there that are quieter but that's not something I'm willing to do until it's time to replace them. The other thing is I hate the cupholders being in the front, in front of the gear shift. The only other thing (and I've heard people say if you have been a Mazda owner it's annoying to what you're used to, if you've been a Toyota owner it sound normal) and that is the engine drone sound at higher needed speed like entering a highway or passing someone. All of these are things I can live with and I have absolutely have no regrets with this purchase. Bottom line, if you want the interior and exterior quality and engaging driving experience that Mazda gives you and an extremely proven reliable hybrid engine that Toyota gives you...you have the perfect marriage.

2026 Mazda CX-50 review
The CX-50 is a great car. The exterior and interior are sleek and luxurious, and it drives great. The combo leather/canvas seats are awesome, because you still get the look of leather without the sticky/sweaty feel. Responsive infotainment system and variety of control options (joystick, touch screen, steering wheel buttons) is nice. AWD works great for me in the mountains.

A year ago I bought a new ID buzz and overall, the experience has sucked. This 5 star review is specifically for Francisco in the service department. Since day 1 of owning the brand new ID Buzz, the brakes have been TERRIBLE - squeaking and grinding every time I brake. I had brought the car to the Thousand Oaks dealership and the Woodland Hills dealership multiple times for the issue. I had been told that this is a normal problem, the metals they need to use in CA are going to squeak no matter what they do, the hubcaps were designed poorly so there isn't enough ventilation to remove dust and debris from the brakes, that it is my responsibility to be washing the car more and removing dust and debris on the brakes, and overall my complaints had been 100% dismissed. Finally, I gave up and just decided the car is a xxx and I will have to live with it. I brought the car in for unrelated issues and said nothing about the brakes. After this visit, Francisco brought the brakes up to me, noting how horrible they are, which I said I know, but it seems thats just how the brakes are and will always be. He said absolutely not, that is not normal and can be fixed. He is the ONLY person at VW who has actually CARED. He kept me in the loop of the whole process and completely FIXED the "unfixable" brakes. My brakes don't make a PEEP since he fixed them, they truly have not made a single noise since. I always wanted to love the ID Buzz and now I finally do!! I can't give enough praise to Francisco, it is so refreshing to be helped by someone who actually cares. Victor was also very helpful along the process of getting them fixed. Thank you guys! In my opinion, the only two people at VW (Thousand Oaks and Woodland Hills) that actually deserve a 5/5 review. :)

Five stars for FRAUDULENT sales This dealership utilized the old carbon copy method for my sales cobtract. I assumed their computer system was down. I am a handicapped senior citizen. After I looked later, over this sales receipt, I couldn’t read it. I asked for a better copy. I was charged $35K - an amount even more than a new cat instead of the used car that I had purchased. The original sticker price was $28,800. They don’t care. Go to the dealership in Oxnard.
2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid review
Granted, I've driven less than 400 miles and I love it. The safety features, moonroof, A/C, audio system, appearance, headlights, all scream, "this is nice"! I don't regret purchasing this.

2026 Nissan Murano review
This is the first Murano I have had the Nissan Rouge. I am so glad we bought this car. It is truly a comfortable car. The ride is very nice. I bought the two tone and love it. They did an amazing job designing this car. It has all the bells and whistles. The stereo system is out of this world; it has Bose stereo. The inside is awesome and outside. I recently purchased a GranTurismo S from sales associate Kari Lloyd. The process could not have been better. By email I arranged a time with Kari to see the car, and she asked me if I would like a cappuccino when I arrived. I told her my preference, and a cappuccino mocha was waiting for me. She also made scones the night before for me to enjoy while we spoke about the car. I had my eye on a 2011 that was a beautiful Bordeaux exterior with a light beige and black interior. We took a test drive and she showed me some of the features and spoke of others. There was never any pressure sales tactics and the sales manager was very understanding when I said I wanted to explore my financing options over the next few days. Kari kept in touch during that time by email, as I had explained to her that I work at night and sleep during the day. When I had my financing in place I let Kari know and we setup a time to meet on my next day off. Again, she had the scones and another cappuccino mocha waiting for me. I made my offer and within no more than 10 minutes I had a deal. No back and forth between the sales associate and the manager. I was completely done with the deal and had my keys in an hour and a half. Kari took time to explain functions of the car and helped pair the bluetooth from my phone to the media system. They had detailed it, filled it with petrol, made sure the second key was programmed properly and then I was off on my new adventure of owning an Italian exotic car. Just before I left, Kari noticed that something still needed attention in the car and we drove to the service bay where they cleaned a small area of the interior. Kari then let me know that the dealership was holding a car wash for their clients on the weekend following. Even though the event was booked up on their website, she got me on the list and I was treated with the same respect by other members of the team that I met. I highly recommend Kari Lloyd's professionalism and her willingness to provide extras to make one feel welcome and respected. The entire team made me feel like I was their most important customer. These days, I find customer service like that a rare thing indeed.
