I’m not typically one to write reviews, but my experience with CarMax has been so outstanding that I feel compelled to share. From start to finish, they’ve redefined my expectations for buying a vehicle. I found a car online that checked every box for me—low miles, all the specs I wanted, and fantastic photos that gave me confidence in its condition. The only catch? It was located at a CarMax dealership in Florida, while I’m in Nashville. For just $200, they shipped it to my local CarMax dealership. Knowing the worst-case scenario was losing that $200, I felt reassured to take the leap—and I’m so glad I did. Within just a few days, the car arrived. I had a trade-in—a mid-mileage VW Atlas in good condition—and to my surprise, CarMax offered me an amazing price. I’ve done my research, and they gave me a value that was very close to what I’d seen comparable models selling for, and significantly more than I owed. Needless to say, I accepted their offer with ease. As for my new (used) car, I was impressed by the comprehensive warranty options. The extended warranty they offer feels like an insurance policy: $200 deductible for coverage up to 150,000 miles. With my car’s mileage at around 50,000, this was a no-brainer. I’ve seen glowing reviews about the warranty online, and after my own experience, I can see why. Now here’s the part that truly sets CarMax apart—the post-purchase experience. The vehicle is used, so it’s impossible to catch every little thing during a quick test drive. Thankfully, CarMax provides a 90-day warranty and has a full-service garage. I’ve been back a few times for small fixes, like the gas door not working properly, tire monitor sensors, an alignment issue, and even replacing a rear entertainment system screen. Every single issue was handled promptly and professionally, leaving me with a car that feels brand new. Shoutout to Elvis in the service department! Not only did he remember my name when I returned, but he also ensured I had a free loaner car anytime my vehicle needed to stay overnight. The customer service I’ve received from him and the entire CarMax team has been nothing short of exceptional. This entire process has been so seamless that I can confidently say CarMax will be my first stop the next time I’m in the market for a car. I’ve purchased brand-new vehicles before and never felt this satisfied. CarMax has raised the bar for what car buying and ownership should feel like. If you’re on the fence about where to purchase your next vehicle, I can’t recommend CarMax enough. From great trade-in offers to their stellar warranty program and impeccable customer service, they’ve won me over as a fan for life. One of the best sports cars available today. Comfortable daily driver with canyon carving capability. Still available with a naturally aspirated gasoline engine and a manual transmission. One of the last (mostly) analogue delights at a (relatively) affordable price.

2023 Porsche 718 Boxster review
I have a 2023 Porsche Boxster GTS 4.0. It is truly an amazing sport car in terms of performance, reliability and value. I traded in a 2020 Boxster S to purchase this model because a six cylinder internal combustion engine with 394 horse power is distinctly better than a turbo charged four cylinder model. While a manual transmission is preferable. The Porsche PDK automatic transmission in in a class by itself. Lastly, being a mid engine sport car enhances the overall performance.

2021 Porsche 718 Boxster review
Terrific car and the best I have ever owned Comfort downgraded because the leather seats are just too hard, a common problem with leather seating. Lexus uses much softer leather, making their seats much more comfortable for a long drive. Wouldn't need heated seats if not for the leather seating surfaces. Fabric is MUCH more comfortable. Interior design is excellent except for the extensive use of bright metal accents which should never be used in a convertible. Solved with matte black vinyl wrap. Infotainment system is an unmitigated disaster - it simply fails to work much too often, specifically Apple CarPlay works only about half the time, backup camera often fails to display, and sometimes the display shows nothing but "Loading Home." This should be simple to fix but local dealer refuses or is incapable of doing the right thing. This is a terrific $50K sports car; too bad it costs so much more. Reliability downgraded only because of infotainment problems. No mechanical issues.

Excellent ergonomics. Quality interior. Software instruction could use work. You tube helps but too general. Noisy startup but eventually goes away. Rev match only for down shifting not for upshifting as on some other cars.

2019 Porsche 718 Boxster review
I've raced Porsches including GT3 Cup but this is my first street Porsche. My wife and I love convertibles for touring and I wanted a track capable car, too. A 911 will likely be next but I am really glad I started with my 718 Boxster GTS. The turbo four cylinder is outstanding with great power, especially down low torque, and we're seeing excellent fuel mileage. Some purists say it has to be the flat six but this car proves them wrong. I don't mind the sound at all, it reminds me of a wonderful air cooled Porsche. Love the performance, comfort and utility (two trunks!) of my 718 Boxster GTS and can't wait to get it on the track soon, too.

2017 Porsche 718 Boxster review
Words do not do it justice. This car is simply stunning visually, growls delightfully, and it's a dream to drive, incredibly responsive and shifts so smoothly.
