This dealership went above and beyond for my family! We drove 7 hours to buy our vehicle from an honest dealership. Trade and purchase was seamless, no gimmicks. They exceeded our expectations and it was worth the drive to get our Subaru from Southern State Automotive. Thanks Pat, Bryant, Eldwood & Chris!
2026 Subaru Outback review
This is my third Subaru but my first Outback. I loved my Legacy and my Forester but this vehicle is overall better in most ways. The ride and comfort is outstanding and the performance is adequate for my needs. The Infotainment system and climate controls are perfect. The built-in navigation needs lots of changes and I wouldn't recommend it right now as it tells me to turn left when you need to turn right. It even sometimes shows the opposite direction on the map. The speed limits shown is often wrong as well like the maps are out of date. Wireless Android Auto doesn't work well either and often blanks out. I hope that these items will be fixed via updates. This vehicle is a pleasure to drive.

Excellent Service. From Washington State, Daytona Beach, and Cary, NC. I Finally, I found a 5 Star Subura Service Center In Southern States Subaru Raleigh.
2026 Subaru Outback review
I had some weird requirements. I bought a full-sized spare exactly like the other wheels/tires on the car so I wanted it to fit in the wheel well. It did that. I also wanted a car that had a very convenient way of turning off the auto on/off feature where the car's engine turns off when you come to a light. I also wanted AWD. The cabin is quieter than my previous car so that's also a plus. The seats are very comfortable. The only small negative is that the map lights are very weak. I will have them replaced with LED bulbs at the car's first oil change at 3000 miiles.

I had a great experience with everyone I worked with—they have an awesome team! Steve was fantastic throughout the entire process. He fit me in for a test drive right as they were closing and followed up when the right Outback arrived. Chris helped wrap up the purchase quickly and efficiently, making the process seamless. Joseph, the Encore Delivery Specialist, was great as well and made sure I was up to speed on all the features of my Outback and everything the Subaru community has to offer. Great experience from start to finish!

2026 Subaru Outback review
I love Subaru automobiles. I usually buy Forresters, I trade up every 3 years. My only complaint with the Forrester is the cabin noise is loud. When I went to the dealership I saw a different looking Subaru. It was the 2026 Outback which had been redesigned and looked like a SUV not a station wagon. I drove it and boom, problem solved. The outside noise was not loud at all. It had the same great features, plus more than my Forrester had. I fell in love! The new color an emerald green caught my eye and I have had many compliments on it. The ride is smooth, it is roomier than the Forrester. I am so happy with my purchase

Johnson Subaru of Cary review
I had a really great experience overall with this dealership. I had set up a deal online thru Sam's Club on an auto with all the options I was looking for. I got to the dealer and was informed that the vehicle was in transit. Not great. The salesman I was working with worked tirelessly to find all the vehicles that matched what I was looking for along with another that I had been considering. In the end I purchased a really great auto and am very happy with the end result. I didn't feel the issue was the dealer's fault but most likely a issue with working with both Sam's Club and the dealer. I would definitely recommend purchasing from this dealership.
2026 Subaru Outback review
I have the 2026 Subaru Outback Premium. The car drives great (super smooth/quiet) and the new interior/driver controls are fantastic. Both the climate control and the entertainment system are vast improvement over the 2025 Outback. The sound system is really good for being the Premium model. I got 28 mpg on the first tank of gas and am getting 29 mpg on the second tank of gas. Mostly city driving. I paid right at $33k, which is fantastic value for this great of a car.

2026 Subaru Outback review
This is my second Subaru Outback. I loved the 2017 & this one is even better. The improved eyesight is nice & the backup camera is wonderful. The extension on the visor is a small but quite helpful.

Ken Ganley Subaru WickliffeReviews
Ken Ganley Subaru Wickliffe review
Jason and his team did a stellar job on my Ascent. I brought it in for the 60K service and mentioned some potential issues with RPMs and a jolting sensation. Long story short, there was a transmission issue that had to go beyond the local team, to Subaru Technical service. The diagnostic testing was very thorough, as was the communication from Jason on what was happening. I was provided a lovely loaner, so there was zero inconvenience to me. My car was fixed under the warranty, and the final bill was less than expected. The whole experience was professional, kind and thorough. I really appreciate Jason, Adam and everyone else who worked on my car.
