2020 Subaru Outback review
I have a 2020 Subaru Outback Touring 2.4L turbo model, the fully-loaded, most expensive model. It replaced a 2011 standard Outback with a 2.5L engine and manual transmission. My only criticism is poor gas mileage, about 23-24 mpg versus the 2011's 28.2 average over more than 100K miles. I like the power (260 HP) but might have forgone the turbo had I anticipated the unimpressive mileage. My 2001 Audi Q5, with a 260 HP 2.0L turbo engine, averages 28+ mpg, but cost $10K more than my Subaru. I rationalize by recognizing that $10K will buy a lot of gasoline.

2018 Jeep Renegade review
This is my second renagade, I wanted a 2021 limited and that’s what I have now. I have a long history with many models of jeeps, but I have to say this one is my all time favorite . I love everything about it. It’s a tank in the snow and mud . We have climbed to the top of a mountain with it. I feel safe and secure that I will never get stranded in the snow. It’s comfortable, and just the right size . I love the Easter eggs they hid in the car ! We were able to fit all our camping gear in it and bikes and kayaks too. I love the look of it and it’s fun ! I will never get rid of this car , it’s a keeper.

2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer review
Overall this is one of the best Chevrolets I've owned. I change the oil every 5000 miles. I have had two issues with engine related problems, one being Fuel pump driver control module which needed to be replaced after warranty time and the other was the emission canister purge pump replaced under a special coverage. Styling wise I love it. Gas milage is great especially with the gas prices today.

2024 Jeep Compass review
We purchased a 2024 Jeep Compass Limited Elite. This vehicle has far surpassed our expectations for comfort, handling, road noise and quality. There is very little road noise we hear inside the vehicle, and this allows us to keep the radio turned down to a comfortable level. Handling is exceptional and very responsive. The driver safety features of lane guidance, adaptive cruise control (my favorite) and 360-degree backup camera are now features we will not go without after experiencing first hand performance. 2024 Volvo XC60 Recharge Plug-In Hybrid review
The car has really nice performance and drives very nicely but a few quirks. First the manuals are only available digitally and in many cases it’s a complex game to find what you are looking for. The search function is not forgiving. In other cases the information is weak and missing key elements. Some settings are sticky (rain sensor for the wipers), others are not ( auto high-beams), with no rationale. The controls on the left side of the steering wheel are a mystery and the customization on the dash board view is either: show the map or don’t show the map ( which disappears when you shift into reverse). The sound controls for the radio are lacking: no fader or balance controls. Lastly, if you want your garage door opener controls integrated into the car, be prepared to shell out another $995.

2017 Buick Encore review
I leased this 2017 Encore in 2017 after the lease was up I bought it. Now in 2024 I am just putting tires on it. I put a new battery in last year. That's it! I change the oil. I have read the bad reviews and am surprised. To be fair I drive in town and 6000 to 7000 miles a year.

2019 Subaru Ascent review
Have owned this 2019 Subaru ascent touring model for just over 2 years. Eye site feature is my fav. Car responds to changing traffic speeds automatically. great in heavy highway traffic. The Subaru service department at my dealership keeps it in tp top shape. I highly highly recommend this car. I'm sure the newer models are even better.

2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS 580 review
Very nice and roomy. Software issues. A1/2 of the ambient lighting stopped working and now a camera has quit working causing multiple warnings to appear. Had to replace 23 inch tires at 10,000 miles because of wear. Mercedes paid for 1/2 and I paid the other 1,000 for the other 2. No manufacturer makes a 23 inch all season tire that fits their wheels. It’s a problem. It looks great but I would not get 23 inch wheels again.I don’t drive on the autobahn daily, just city streets.

2025 Chevrolet Trax review
I change cars every three years. Mt wife has a 2024 LS and every time i had to drive it i was amazed at what a great car this is. Anyway, i got into an accident and had to replace m car. Having researched just about everything out there when i bought her car i just bought a 2025 Trax Activ. I really love this car. It is really the perfect vehicle. It handles really well, it’s very comfortable, gas consumption is amazing. I only use top tier gas. I had to wait for the dealer to find one without a sun roof. The gps is flawless. I can find nothing about this car that I dislike. I wish it had a trunk release but not a major issue, you really should drive it as you will understand the feel of the operation. As far as the engine, i don’t understand the negative comments. It has ample power. It isn’t a hot rod but i have never had a problem with it feeling underpowered. I do mostly highway driving, set at 69-70 and never any hesitation, oh, the adaptable cruise control is a must have. It takes so much of the stress of highway driving away. I could go on bit i simply say TEST DRIVE ONE. You wil fully appreciate what surrounds you. It’s the only way to understand what GM did.

2022 Toyota RAV4 review
Drove this '22 Rav4 throughout the US SW for over 3000 miles in 2 weeks without any problems and averaged 30+ mpg. Went through CO, UT, NV, CA, AZ, NM. Pleasant to drive and certainly comfortable enough. I have no complaints at the moment, and it doesn't have the CVT!

We purchased a used f150 signed the paperwork and handed them a check. My wife started the vehicle to drive home to St Paul, but before she even put the truck in gear a great billow or smoke started coming from under the truck. All I could think is xxxx I'm screwed. It was late in the day so they assured us that if we left the truck they would have a mechanic look at it in the morning. I got a call the next morning explaining that a defective hose was allowing oil to enter the intake causing the smoke. They ordered the part from ford, installed it and delivered the truck to our home in St Paul. I felt comfortable during the whole process. I may not have been treated this well at other dealerships. 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer review
Certainly enough power and comfort. Very roomy front and comfortable for passengers. The reviews call it sluggish and, it is not that during everyday use. I was shocked how well it drives after reading reviews. I got a great looking white 2024 RS in perfect shape with 9.000 miles on it. Much much better than expected meets ALL of my needs and, expectations.

2023 Chevrolet Blazer review
I went in to get a 2026 Equinox and came out of the dealership with this beautiful, sexy, hunk of a vehicle. I love how it handles, how it looks, and all of the gadgets. I just passed down my 2018 Chevrolet Cruze Hatchback Premier, and I was still learning the things that vehicle had, so I probably will never completely learn everything on this baby. This Subaru family dealership made buying this vehicle a joy. The savings were huge, and I had to travel (because the price for the SUV was awesome beating other competitors) from Grand Forks ND to Eau Claire WI a 400 mile /6 hrs one way trip, but well worth the drive. 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan Limited review
I’m 6”2 315 lbs and I’m comfy in it. It’s fast without being in sports mode. Handles well. Gas is a killer compared to my little old sedan but $50 to fill up supreme isn’t that bad. I’d recommend it to almost anyone.

2025 Honda Pilot review
I think this is the best looking exterior of the mid size SUV mix. The interior is great, but the 9in screen is dated (updated for 26) and the cabin is a little noisy on the highway (also updated for 26 but I haven’t driven one to test it). The quality of the rear review and forward cameras is pretty good but not the crispest I’ve seen. I have the Black Edition which does a good job of reducing the plastic in the interior. I think lower trims are a bit plastic heavy. Seats are comfy, lots of space for kids and I like the removable bench for captains chairs with the option to have the bench if you need it. For a road trip, I have put 3 car seats in a row 2nd row bench to leave 3rd row flipped down for more cargo. Would not recommend that daily though. If you need 3 in one row daily you want to consider a full size but I’m just fine with 2 kids in captains chairs 2nd row and 1 in 3rd with the other half of the bench flipped down for cargo (which is sufficient for a stroller). I think that’s enough for most people. Performance is fine but nothing exciting. You don’t have the power of say an Explorer xx although I’m not sure you actually need that. Perfectly fine as a daily driver and I switch to sport mode when merging in on the highway. Reliability is top notch - routine service and you can trust you won’t need much more. Hoping to keep this 8-10 yrs and I don’t anticipate a problem. I use the dealership, but any shop should be able to work on a Honda Pilot without a problem.

Overall a great SUV. You cannot beat the power, handling and comfort that this totally electric model offers. By far the best-driving and smoothest SUV I have ever owned or driven. Excellent refined styling, Q8 amenities including dash/entertainment system. Range on this model could be better. I’m averaging 160 - 180 miles on a charge (I only charge to 80% based on manufacturer’s recommendation). Also, like most electric vehicles, you do pay a premium.
