The facility is older and not spotless - it could do with new furniture and a fresh coat of white paint. Doesn't compare with the sparkling, vast multimillion dollar showrooms around town. The product, however, isn't the dealer office - it's the same new vehicle you buy anywhere else. The sales team is stereotypical of the profession - knowledgeable, friendly, but coached to quickly identify and help you overcome any obstacles to making a purchase. As long as you understand the dynamic and come prepared, it's a perfectly normal experience. The reason for the recommendation, and what set this dealer apart, was what matters most to me and I'm sure you as you navigate one of your life's larger purchases - price. I test drove elsewhere, and stopped by in person to get some initial out the door numbers. Here the pressure was highest - numbers about the same as every other dealer about MSRP out the door, implication that those numbers were only possible today. Bring the manager by. What if we can take off a few hundred right now. Playbook, executed predictably but not aggressively. The next week was spent talking to many other dealers in and outside my region. Push them to beat the best offer you have found, until you sense the bottom approaches. It was three days later, but Alamo Heights reached out with a 6k discount (including 1500 VW rebate). It was the lowest out the door price by $1000 at the time, and $600 after two more days. No other dealer wanted to even match. What was the catch? The price was for a car they did not have in stock. They assured me they would find one in a dealer trade, all included in the quoted price. I was hesitant to buy a car sight unseen, and despite Mike as a sales manager assuaging my concerns as best he could, assuring they would make it right if anything was wrong at delivery... there was no language in the paperwork I signed that made it more substantial than being given their word. The car was acquired, and available for pickup, the next business day. No faults in the car, no mileage or paint surprises. They delivered as they said they would, and I am confident that had there been any issues with the vehicle that a repair or replacement would have been made honoring their word. The bottom line here is that this dealer was able to get to a price I couldn't find anywhere else. It took patience, absorbing the sales push, and polite persistence, but what new car deal doesn't? I have read other reviews online that match my experience. It's a process to go through, and there's the usual sales patter and pressure to get through. What makes this dealer worth working with is the number they may not be delivered in the largest showroom, but it may be the smallest number. Thanks to Tim, who is clearly passionate about VW and extremely knowledgeable. Thanks as well to Mike, who may be new to SA but clearly has a lot of experience building confidence in customers faith in his teams ability to deliver as promised. They are outliers in ways that earned my business and appreciation.
2023 Volkswagen Jetta review
The 2023 Jetta S and Jetta Sport are just about the best value you can find in a new car these days. Sure, you can buy a Hyundai or a Kia for a little less, but the Jetta is so much more car. I know from experience. I test drove the 2023 Kia Forte, Hyundai Elantra, Honda Civic, and Toyota Corolla. And the Jetta stood out with a level of quality that those other cars just didn't seem to have. If you need the latest technology, and a huge touchscreen, buy one of those other cars. The Jetta has a smaller screen. But I like that the Jetta still have knobs and buttons for the A/C and basic radio controls. The Jetta is also offered without driver assist features if you want to save some money. I bought my 2023 Jetta Sport without lane keep assist and all those extra features I don't like, because I pay attention when I drive. This knocked off a nice bit of money. After driving all those new cars, the Jetta had room where I needed it, comfort, and a level of quality I just didn't feel in the other cars, so I bought it. And I am very happy with my purchase.

2016 Volkswagen Jetta review
This is my 2nd Mk6 Jetta. The first one I leased had zero issues with it. It was a 2017 1.4t S trim. My current Jetta a 2016 Sport 1.8t trim is a great vehicle! I bought it in 2019 as a CPO with 38k miles and now it has 127,500 miles and counting! Has give me zero problems. All I’ve done was kept up with its regular maintenance. I’ve used it to get around town and for long trips. Great on gas, roomy, nice backup camera and Apple CarPlay still works with the factory head unit! It also has VW’s built in Navigation system and Sirius XM which has come in handy a few times. The trunk is spacious with rear seats that fold down. The center rear seat comes with an arm rest and a pass through to the trunk. I also love the heated two tones white and black leatherette seats that come with the Sport trim. Driving wise, it handles great with good acceleration for a compact sedan. Easy to park as well!

2021 Volkswagen Jetta review
I have owned my 2021 VW Jetta for close to two years. I have very little negative things to say about the car. The car does have auto start-stop when stopped for red lights and other lengthy stops. This car handles well. It gets on highways quickly. I have recorded gas on long trips 42 mpg. I get 32mpg around town. The Jetta looks nice. I have the gray color with black interior. It’s not like the BMW335 I owned but it is a good car for me. Currently over 36k miles with no issues. I take it in ever 10,000 miles for a check up and oil changes.
