I recently had an extremely positive experience at Jim Shorkey Mitsubishi in North Hills. Having just retired, I was interested in a small hatchback and eventually they set me up with a pre-certified 2021 Mirage with about 50,000 miles on it and I got a great price. The process was seamless from my initial outreach to the General Sales Manager Bill Driscoll via email to this person then setting me up with John Barbour as my official sales representative. John was great, very attentive, and offered excellent customer service. It’s just great to have a dedicated person walk you through everything related to the car and contract and also provide honest estimates of how long the process takes. Most importantly, John was very patient and extremely helpful when we encountered a couple of very minor issues. Kudos also to the whole team I dealt with, from Melisa who greeted me in such a friendly manner to Corey Davidson (Sales Manager) and Dakota Carson in sales. Lastly, its’ definitely worth noting that they have a very collaborative and friendly culture, and there’s obviously a priority there to building a sense of community. I know how corny and cliché it sounds to describe a business culture as “family-like,” but it is nice to engage with people at a business who genuinely seem to like each other and enjoy providing exceptional service to customers. I have a 10-year-old, high mileage VW TDI that has had the emission repairs performed and has the VW extended warranty. In the past few years it has had some OBDII check engine codes that involved replacement of major (and expensive) components. Each time VW and Cochran service advisors (Joe Mazzocchetti among them) have arranged to have the entire repair covered with never an issue. Everyone has probably heard instances of manufacturers and dealers trying to avoid responsibility under warranties. That is certainly not the case here. VW has gotten a lot of bad press for the emission scandal, but they have stepped up to make good on emissions related warranty repairs without hesitation. Good recovery and exemplary customer service!
2024 Volkswagen Tiguan review
I got interested in this car when I rented it for a couple of days while conducting business out of town. I discovered that it suited my auto needs 100 percent, and at such a reasonable price. I am of a certain age and I find it more of a challenge to get in and out of cars. I don't like climbing up into and sliding down out of trucks and SUV. I don't like bending the slipping into sedans and having to pull myself out of them. The Tiguan comes closest to walking into the driver's sit and walking out. As for stowage, the stowage in the rear also is at perfect mid-thigh level, minimizing bending and lifting. So comfort was of highest priority. But economy comes in a close second, and so far the MPG is great. So is the pickup; it's plenty peppy.

2023 Volkswagen Taos review
Our 2022 Taos is almost 2 years old with about 21K mileage. Very satisfied with our car. For the price point (25K) it provides good handling, a comfortable ride and great interior space for a subcompact SUV. The gas mileage is amazing at over 40 MPG on the highway and about 30 MPG tooling around town. Couldn't be happier!

2025 Volkswagen Taos review
I like the white and black combo. I like that it's not too big and is AWD. Still getting use to the technology. I can start and lock the doors from my phone. It notifies me if I left a window or the sunroof open. Will not go far if the trunk door is not completely shut. This is my 1st suv, I like sitting up higher than in a sedan.

2022 Volkswagen Taos review
I bought the 22 model in Apr of 22 and had it about a year and the ac compressor went out. It took them a couple of months to get one and when they did they found that it had metal shavings all in the lines so they had to replace everything in the circuit. They gave us a loaner car for two weeks and so far it’s been working fine. Have had a couple of software updates so far but no other issues. Have just turned 10,000 miles. The transmission is jerky so I basically drive it around in sport mode to keep it from dropping into the highway gear. Overall we like it

2020 Volkswagen Tiguan review
This car is far superior to my previous 2021 Toyota RA4. In my distant youth I use to do some racing and handling is highest priority. Suspension, steering, 17" alloy wheels vs 15" steel wheels with hubcaps, full spare tire vs doughnut, 3 row seating vs 2 rows, 400 lbs heavier therefore more stable in windy conditions and roads that are not level, and much more. Only downside is the general Volkswagen issue with poor sound systems. Not only that, the after market is almost non-existent for the Tiguan.

No hidden fees or dealer crap. But what really sets them apart is the people. Sales Consultant Kelly Crawford was the BEST! I have purchased or leased nearly 50 new cars in my life, and she is one the best I've encountered. Excellent follow-through. Good product knowledge. Not pushy. Plus, just nice to deal with. Treated my first time buyer daughter with respect and care. Greatly appreciated Kelly! General Sales Manager Jess Cupini worked our deal and was just great to work with. Sales Manager Seth Drobney was wealth of knowledge on the VW brand and came in clutch with valued information on the car. Nice guy and a true professional. Knows the VW brand like no other. 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan review
I really liked this car, the car is easy to control, accelerates quickly when compared with others. Comfortable and plenty of space inside. I moved from a KIA sedan, and I can say that you get used to the dimensions of the car very easily and quickly. And compared to the KIA, the build quality of the car is felt, and that it is made of metal.

So I took my 2019 Jetta RLine in for service since my check engine light came on the night before. My purge valve went bad and thankfully it was fixed and It was 100% covered under my warranty. BUT my eyes were set on a 2022 Arteon SEL RLine that was sitting in the show room. Nik says to me “ picture it in your driveway “, and I already was as I was walking up to it. We chatted for a few minutes, and I told him I would be in touch. I called him 30 minutes later and asked what kind of deal he could give me. When I went to the dealership a few hours later I had purchased this beauty. My Arteon is the second car I have purchased at this dealership, and I have nothing but great things to say about them! Nik was extremely helpful and really did give me an amazing deal on this car. I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend going to see him.

2023 Volkswagen Atlas review
I have a 2019 Atlas. This car is amazing and mind you I can't kill it. My car has 188,000 miles on it. The drive is smooth and very reliable. It has the room to fit all 5 of my kiddos perfectly and enough room in the trunk to even fit a wonderfold wagon with all the seats up. I highly recommend if you want a good SUV with a lot of room in it

2024 Volkswagen Tiguan review
30mpg avg with the longest and widest roof rail base for outdoor gear at a price that made sense. 2nd row middle seat folds down individually for skis and paddles. Remote start on the vw app is great for cooling the interior down on a 100 degree day from a distance. Rear seat door opening and leg room is huge great for elders to enter easily and for parents loading car seats.

2019 Volkswagen Arteon review
I've had my 2019 Arteon for seven years now and have enjoyed it all the way. No problems, no repairs, just regular oil changes. It's a pleasure to drive on long trips, no worries if the weather turns bad. This car is awesome in snow! The hatchback is very convenient, plenty of storage. And there's plenty of room for passengers in the back seat. I do a lot of airport pickups and dropoffs, this car has a lot of space inside.
