Came in for an overheating transmission when driving on the highway and was charged $950 to diagnose and fix a bunch of other issues that I didn't come... in to fix, as that "might" be causing the problem I wanted fixed. After charging me $950 to fix "issues" that I didn't originally come in for, Chuck, technician, tells me that the transmission is still overheating and I would need to pay another $250 to further diagnose the transmission issue. Mind you, this is what I came in to diagnose in the first place. I refused to pay the $250 because I had already paid for a diagnostic fee, so they agree to further perform tests for free. They then tell me there is a valve issue with my transmission that "might" be the issue and will cost me another $1,500 to fix. I didn't want to fix something that wasn't definitive, so I refuse to have that done and asked to speak with Ed, the service manager. Ed offers to look further into the transmission issue free of charge to get a definitive diagnosis. At this point I'm assuming that the $950 in services that I had already paid for was for guessing on what the problem was. After a couple of weeks I get a call from Chuck and I'm told that they figured it out and fixed the problem. Regretfully, I take their word and don't test drive the car on the highway for a few months as I mostly drive locally. The one time I get on the highway, the transmission overheats. I take it back and Chuck says they will look at it for free. A week later Chuck calls me and says they don't know what the issue is and they cannot spend more time on it for free. I talk to the service manager and he has someone test drive it to see what the issue is exactly, I am very annoyed now to find out that they have never performed a test drive. A few days later Chuck calls and tells me that it will cost $500 to install a transmission cooler and fix the issue. At this point I don't plan on paying another penny as this is what I paid for in the first place. I asked for them to fix the issue using the money I originally paid or refund me and they refused. Worst experience ever.

Fairlane Ford helped a stranded traveler get back on the road. My car overheated about a half a mile from this dealership. Service department was friendly... and professional and were able to diagnose problem (coolant hose) and replace part very quickly. Highly recommend.

Was convenient to drop off get ride to and from work while work was done. Oil change the works, was disappointed the back brakes were not checked! Also... the price increase surprised me. may have to find a new place to go.
