Standish may be a small town, but this Ford dealer's people have big city experience and salesmanship. On one of our recent trips north, we stopped in at Richardson's Ford to see what was on the lot. My husband saw the 2014 F150 truck in the color and all the options he really wanted for some time. The second time we stopped, the business was open and Tony came out to answer any questions and unlocked it to inspect the excellent condition. On a Monday, on our way to the upper peninsula, we stopped by with further questions and a price we had in mind, Tony and his manager (this review will only spell his name as CN),worked well together and with us to come to somewhat of an agreement. But would only be at that price if we bought by Thursday. We planned to return home from the UP on Sunday for a 9 am doctor appointment on Monday. And of course the business would be closed that Sunday. While still traveling north that day, they both called us to say our price was agreeable and our credit very good. We asked if we should turn around right then to return there. They said if necessary they could deliver the papers to us. That was " 200" to our motel. Well, we couldn't believe when they both called the next day to assure us they would be there at our motel yet that day with the papers to sign and the keys, so that we wouldn't have to cut our vacation short by 3 days. We could stop by and get the truck on Sunday on our way home. We opted instead to be in Standish on Thursday morning for the signing as there were some details we wanted explained on the contract and Tony to show us more operating instructions. Tony said he'd have it fully fueled, washed, detailed and parked inside to have it showroom new on our arrival. He even put 2 new wipers on because one was bad. We're so glad we decided to personally deal with Dennis Zimmer, who did all the financing there at the dealership. There's no one better at what he does in explaining to the decimal point, the terms of the contract, the best interest rate he can get and the optional products available. And no matter how long it took to make everything perfectly clear and comfortable to us. He's so patient with every question and statement we expressed. And promptly cleared up the problem we were having with the Sec. of State's office. He's so excellent at his job. He and Tony made follow up calls to us in the following days. Even though we are 80 miles south of Standish, Tony has us convinced to take the day trip there or stop on our way north again for the oil change, inspection and hand car wash-all for $19.00. We'd do it simply because they made us feel like instant friends.

After visiting about 5 car dealers in our search for a new truck, we were told about Richardson Ford by a friend. We drove into the lot and the rest is history. From the first salesman that greeted us, Mike, to the manager, Erick, who later spoke with us and helped us with our purchase, the demeanor and honesty of each of them was beyond anything we could have hoped for. We were given a price that was lower than other dealerships we visited for the purchase of the truck we were interested in. We got everything we asked for, and more. There were no games, no bait and switch techniques used on us. They also provided us with a free service we were not expecting. They picked up our trade in car from out of town at no cost to us. We left the dealership wondering if this could all be true. The service was so remarkable and things were going so smoothly. But when we returned once again, even more surprises awaited us. Without going into too much detail, time after time when questions were brought up or things were needed, everything was delivered in a sincere and trustworthy manner. We left with our new truck and a new perspective on realizing that there are truly dealers that not only care, but stand by everything they say from the time you arrive on their property, until the day you drive away with your new vehicle. We consider Richardson Ford to be not only a step above other dealerships, but it is, in our opinion, BETTER than the BEST!!!

I arrived on time for my appointment. The service people were friendly and promptly started the service process. After visiting with a salesman I went to the customer lounge. I opened up the manual to my new Ford F-150 pickup. Before I could open a page of the manual I was informed my car was done and washed and parked in front of the dealership. Everything I wanted done had been completed.
