After going to a competitive dealer and being blatantly lied to, my experience at Smithtown Nissan with my salesman Keith and sales manager John was nothing... less than wonderful! They were able to get me into the car I wanted and at a price I can afford. They definitely surpassed my expectations!
I was pleased to find and purchase a gently used Nissan Sentra after having an accident with another car. The salespeople and service dept. were very professional... and caring.
I was presented a deal on a lease and promised the deal was good until a certain date 7/7/2020. I even got a call to confirm my appointment that morning... and had my check written out. I got a call from the dealership two hours before my appointment to tell me the deal was off because it had expired the day before. The funny thing is I had called the day prior 7/6 and was ready and willing to come in that day but the salesperson told me he wasn't available past 5 pm and told me to come in the next day because he had late hours that day. The salesman Greg Amman admitted it was his mistake and did not realize the deal had expired with Nissan when we discussed my appointment date/time. After trying to get in contact with the manager, the dealership made the secretary call me back to do his dirty work. She told me that Nissan would not make an exception regardless of it being one day late and regardless of it being their mistake. She told me the deal was basically a losing deal for them and they were not willing to honor it without the rebate. The dealership chose to lose a customer rather than honoring the deal. That is not the way to do business. Shameful. I am tagging all managers because none of them had the xxxxx to call me directly. Samantha the secretary was quite pleasant and courteous throughout our conversations. I could tell she was embarrassed of the message she was forced to deliver.
Katherine, we truly are disappointed to hear that you missed out on the Forth of July holiday incentives. Our records indicate, two available managers... had reached out and spoken to you. Unfortunately, said offered programs are issued by the manufacturer, and are time sensitive. This is why we incentivise our customers to take advantage of our same day delivery option. Due to our already shortened hours of operation, as well as our extremely limited staff. This option is even more important. That stated, though we truly understand your frustration, we do not understand why you found it necessary to tag, personally attack and slander staff who have had zero part in working with you. We appreciate your input, but would have preferred an accurate review not only for transparency, but also for employee training purposes. Joe Urso and Greg Ammann were an exceptional help, polite and very informative. They followed all COVID19 procedures which made me feel so comfortable.... Smithtown Nissan's response to my complaint was they could not find any record of the purchase I made with them which they have said to me in the past... . I find that highly unlikely. Maybe the purchase record is with the complete car fax report. BUYER BEWARE DISHONEST
