Detroit Bureau Chief

Aaron Bragman

Detroit Bureau Chief Aaron Bragman has had over 25 years of experience in the auto industry as a journalist, analyst, purchasing agent and program manager. Bragman grew up around his father’s classic Triumph sports cars (which were all sold and gone when he turned 16, much to his frustration) and comes from a Detroit family where cars put food on tables as much as smiles on faces. Today, he’s a member of the Automotive Press Association and the Midwest Automotive Media Association. His pronouns are he/him, but his adjectives are fat/sassy.

Dodge has announced the Challenger and Charger will stop production at the end of 2023, marking the beginning of a new era of electrification with the Charger Daytona SRT Concept.
Chevy is introducing no fewer than three off-road variants of the new Colorado, but GMC is going a step further with the Canyon now only being offered with off-road equipment.
There’s a lot of original Bronco mojo in the new model, and for 2023, Ford’s decided to build on that with two new Heritage models for both the big Bronco and baby Bronco Sport.
The 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor is an off-road-oriented model that builds upon the existing FX4 off-road goodies with some extra bits that should give it even more two-track capability.
Teslas don't operate like regular cars, so we go through the basic “how-tos” of driving one for the first time.
The Volvo C40 Recharge is a flawed, style-over-substance crossover “coupe” that, while comfortable, has half-baked tech and requires too many compromises.
Renting an EV requires planning, research and the knowledge that many don’t work the same as gas-powered cars, but that shouldn’t dissuade you from trying one.
If the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV drives as good as it looks, Ford better have something up its sleeve to keep the Mustang Mach-E ahead of the game.
