2014 Chevrolet Volt consumer reviews

The Chevrolet Volt is the next best thing to having a fully battery electric car with 300 miles of range. Able to drive for months without using any gas but has the range extending engine / generator for traveling any distance without restriction. Fun to drive and roomy interior with hatchback and fold down rear seats to carry large objects when needed.

I purchased 2014 Volt with 42k on it last April, and after 12 months/11k I must say I am very sorry I haven't done it sooner..The car still looks amazing,it feels very solid,and is basically maintenance free..Cost wise,Utah power company offer's a TOU plan,when power is 3.4 cents a kWh, and it literally costs me 40 cents to fully charge a drained battery, and travel 40-45 miles..Talk about savings..I love the way the car silently glides down the road,there is no noises,no shifts, just silky smooth silence..The interior is nice,still look's ahead of the time,and there is just enough room for my daily needs..The electric range takes a 10-15 mile hit in the winter,but I can live with that for 3-4 months.In 11k+ miles,I've used 39 gallons of gas,the rest are pure ev miles..Hope Voltito will keep going strong for years to come..Once you drive this,you have to be a fool to back to stinkmobile..Pure EV is next..

This is an excellent commuter car with all the bells and whistles. I love the technology and can't believe after 50,000 miles, the car still gets 50MPG

But also does great on long trips. I own the car now, and I love it. If you are about 10 to 15 miles from work and you can charge for free at work, it's a great cheap commuter. I can run on EV all week long charging at work, and run with some gas during the weekends if I need, to also keep the gas engine active. I bought it used, the car's lifetime MPG is 190, which is huge. It beats any other plug-in hybrid. My personal MPG considering I do some long trips every now and then is 90 mpg. Which is also great. The trunk seems small but fits A LOT, with my wife we made long road trips with a full size spare tire in the trunk and all our stuff and still fit.

I really like the Volt. Looks a lot better than the Prius. I can make it to work and half way back all on electric. Handles great in the snow.

This was my 2nd volt purchase. I loved getting 40 miles electric range per charge and going over 1000 miles before filling up the gas tank! I especially liked the added safety features in this car: lane departure and collision alert. Comfortable ride and good acceleration and drive.

Sleek, quick acceleration, electric drive train, reliable, what else would you want from an electric car. Best value for the money and the second best electric car available after Tesla.

This car feels like a sports car in many ways: good exterior look, comfortable interior with bucket seats front and rear, great acceleration. It's extremely reliable and has all the perks to boot. Highly recommend.

The volt is an amazing milestone in the evolution of automobile history. With the generator to produce electric when battery goes low this car will deliver 80 to 100 percent of your commute on clean electric and at most uses a fraction of a gallon of gas.

Ran very smooth, and never had any problems with it. Great get up and go even with the electric. Loved almost never needing to stop and get gas.
