  • I have driven and owned all types of Crown Victoria's for

I have driven and owned all types of Crown Victoria's for over 40 years. I buy them for safety, safety and safety. I buy them at auctions. They are well-made, economical on fuel and comfortable. I don't buy white or red cars. I prefer the police package version, particularly those without body damage or bullet holes. I prefer Firestone Firehawk or comparable tires for SAFETY and especially HANDLING. My 2009 model came equipped with four airbags...once again, SAFETY. I would highly recommend this well-designed vehicle.

  • i LOVE it

these cars are just an engineering masterpiece, even thoguh being designed in 1998, these crownvics still look very modern the 4.6L SOHC V8 is literally unkillable, it once got over heated in the middle of the road as the fan broke, and it ran for ONE HOUR straight after it over heated the enine still ran when i arrived at the mechanic its just impressive. other vehicles literally shut down immediately it over heats the AC will freeze you in just a few minutes. its just impressive how i hve 27.5 MPG on this car even though it has a V8. n wonder why these were used as police and taxi cars

  • Talk about a polic3

Talk about reliability. Some drunken idiot totaled the back of my car going 46 mph while I was stationary and you know how the car handled? Like a tank. The rear right door was completely deformed, but other than that, nothing at all. I also find it remarkable that it can seat six people. The steering wheel seems futuristic, and the engine sounds great. Considering it came from the early 1990s, 23 mpg on the highway is amazing. I can only recommend that I give it a 6.8 V10 to sound even tougher than it already is.

  • 2011 cvpi saved my life

This car is practical and how a car should be. It’s not trying to be a computer on wheels, it’s simply a durable car made specifically for service. 100,000 miles is a baby, 200,000 miles is just broken in. If the yellow cabs of New York can push these babies to a million miles and the Highway patrols and police forces swear by them, then this car is the utopian transportation vessel that futurists from the past described. I recently popped a tire going 90 on the highway and the 2011 cvpi handled a popped tire like it wasn’t much of a problem. I got off the freeway and took it quite the few yards off with a completely floppy tire. Not only was the wheel fine but I didn’t even need a realignment. Thanks Panther body platform. It’s more spacious than my room. I managed to fit a dining room table set with 2 big oak chairs inside including the extension leafs for the table. Seriously Spacious. I am a 6ft 200lbs man and I feel small inside. It’s a tank. I had an electric gate close in on it that would’ve totaled lesser vehicles. All it got was a little scratch. I’ve had a bicycle rider crash into the back of it while I was parked. Not even a scratch. This car comes with its own lane. Who needs to pay for a hybrid car with a hybrid sticker? Guaranteed drivers are on their best behavior around your vehicle and will most likely get out of your way. Although it’s been a decade since this vehicle was retired from service, people still think it’s a cop car that’s totally on them, man. V8 engine but it’s v8 engine JR. The only good thing about having a v8 with only 4 speeds is that it’ll last forever and save gas on open roads. I’m talking 25mpg. That’s incredible. This Car is so American that it was manufactured in Canada. Each and every single part is imbued with the souls of the vengeful spirits of the damned and it truly takes a person of pure heart to drive one of these things. The power is corrupting at times. How a cheap auction buy can make subservient citizens out of million dollar vehicles. But one must always remember that with great power comes great responsibility. Good night sweet prince.

  • A service vehicle with soul.

I have spent a considerable amount of time in various Crown Victoria P71 and P7Bs. For a car of this size, it handles incredibly well, with an engine that is next to unkillable. That said, it is definitely a design from the last century. The interior, while comfortable, is spartan with features. Power locks, windows, brakes, AC that will freeze you, heat that will run you out, and that's about it. Nothing else. But, if you want a solid driving vehicle that (generally) will run forever for a cheap price, this is it. It isn't amazingly quick by today's standards, but it isn't slow either. Just the sensation of being able to sling 4000 pounds around a tight corner with little issue and powering out of it with a wonderful growl of 8 pistons is intoxicating. The transmissions in these cars tend to be a different story. They have a tendency to fail around 120-140k of patrol usage, which is what has happened with my own, and I have been unable to get a new one due to the prohibitive price. If you want one, make sure at the very least that the transmission is new or recently rebuilt, otherwise the cheap buy in will be eliminated.

Super clean with luxury seats. More like a limo than a police car! Runs fantastic with interceptor acceleration! Love the push bumper - lots of added protection!

  • This is my 3rd interceptor in 10 years, I love it!

This is the third Ford Crown Victoria Interceptor that I have owned in the last 10 years. I love these cars. Just keep buying them for later models and the reliability is phenomenal. I recommend these cars fro people that need a top performer and a reliable drive. No wonder why the Police prefer them.
