  • Best vehicle ever made.

Best vehicle ever made. I've owned 4 Previas, been driving them since '91. I've had 3 of them that I took to well over 500,000 miles. I took a compression test prior to selling them, and 175 across the board, but then again I'm a fanatic about oil changes, with Mobil 1. It's true, Ignore the cooling system... a blown head gasket, and often, a cracked head. Been there done that. Get one that's not been well taken care of, and you got trouble.

Strange looking vehicle. It looked like an egg. Very reliable. 500,000 miles before the transmission gave out. Buy it if find one. The van will keep running forever with basic maintenance.

  • The Best Van In Automotive History

OCT2019 I cannot think of anything this 90's era minivan does not excel in. From the expansive cargo space, to great power in the SC (Supercharged) model, comfortable and supportive seats that make the miles disappear, and the dependability of what is probably the most bullet-proof engine ever made by Toyota. They run forever. The shape of the body is egg-like. Quirky. Strangely lovable. Americans didn't like the Previa partly because it was viewed to be a silly looking van. I say they don't know what they missed. The rounded shape produces a huge amount of cargo space, easily carrying 4 x 8 sheets of plywood, 10 foot long lumber, and even a fully assembled gas grill. The Previa, sold between 1991 to 1997 in the U.S., is still being made and sold in other countries, including Japan and Austrailia. Other countries value the all-arounder for its versatility and capabilities. Towing, camping, cross-country road trips, people hauler, moving van and more. This van will take on anything you throw at it. Most people don't know that the mid-engine Previa had a supercharged model. Smooth and steady power along with pretty decent handling gives the driver confidence. It handles better than most minivans of the time because the weight is distributed fairly evenly across the middle for the most part. The AWD model laughs at trails, climbing, and snowy conditions. Did I mention how comfortable the seats are? They have my kind of comfort that enabled me to stay the course without becoming too tired. It even has a second, separate HVAC system for the area in back of the front seats. It's too bad we can't get the latest generation of Previas. All we can cling to is keeping our cherished vans as long as possible. And we do.

  • Unique and Excellent Van

These were well made, have excellent handling since the engine is low and underneath the center of the body of the van, and our all wheel version does great in snow. It tends to be warm in the summers because of radiant heat from the engine, though. Also the unique engine position can make repairs harder, especially for unfamiliar mechanics.

  • I love my95 supercharged Previa, best vehicle ever

I love my 95 supercharged rear wheel drive Toyota Previa. In my humble opinion, I would say one of the very best vehicle ever made in history. She has been very reliable and continues so till this day and for that reason I'm sold on this baby. we use it for transporting family, shopping, commuting and so on and so forth and has never failed us. This timeless machine is a future classic that can easily outrun most up to date vehicles on the road today {late July 2014} how many other cars can you say the same about? I bet not many! Anyways I'm very happy and I want to thank the brilliant engineers at Toyota for creating such a masterpiece.

  • Great Minivan of the 90's

We got a 1996 S/C used ten years ago and it now has 200,000 miles on it and it is doing great. there was an electrical shortage afew years ago, but other than that, it has done well. the handling is great due to the mid-engine rear wheel drive design and performance is good for a 2.4L engine, and the supercharger does help. It is a timeless beast. We don't drive it as much, and its been in the garage, but well maintained.

  • OUTSTANDING VEHICLES!

I'm on my third one. First two were totaled in side collisions, and I walked away from both without a scratch! I live in FL, and when my sister in OR was looking for a vehicle, I found one on the internet near where she lives. She is thrilled with it's handling and cargo hauling abilities. All three of mine have been extremely reliable. I recently took a cross country trip in mine, and put over nine thousand miles on it without a hitch. I wouldn't hesitate going anywhere in mine, without a moments notice. Toyota still makes this basic design, and sells them in many countries. I've seen them for sale in Australia. The one thing I would reccomend, is getting one with the supercharger! This configuration provides more power and torque.

  • This car has it all

I've owned a 92 and now a 97. First one kept until 175000 miles then sold it. 2nd one plan to keep forever - currently at 133K. The car is fantastic! I pull the seats out and can haul massive amounts of "stuff" in the back including taking the kids back and forth to college every year. I've had full size couches completely in with the door closed. With the captains chairs in the back every one has "space" so you don't feel cramped. Car rides like a dream and never fails you. I too wished they still built these vehicles. If you need a reliable van, you will not be disappointed.

  • Great vehicle for the money.

I have owned 2 Previa's and I put 180,000 miles on the first one and more than 200,000 on the second one which I still drive every day. Both were extremely reliable and other than a battery, brakes, tires and oil changes, you'll never have to worry about anything. I wish they still made them today.

  • Medicinal Comfort For Back Injury Pain!

The most comfortable seats ever, accomodating tall people, small people and even very large people! Never so much "cargo space" in my full-sized, customized, American vans! Easy access side door and rear door, and for loading rear in the rain, hydrolic lift back door keeps everything dry "under it". Front floor for front seats dips several inches lower than rest of van for easy entry in and out without having to "hike" oneself up and in... Drives like a car with almost a 360 degree view for the driver! We bought two.
