Have owned many premium cars. This 640 is our first BMW. This vehicle is attractive, fun to drive, and well equipped. The buying experience was exceptional. Definitely would buy again.

I’ve had this car for about 2 years now and put about 36,000 miles on it. At first I was a little taken aback by the exterior design but when I saw it in person I thought it didn’t look so bad and then it quickly grew on me. The dual tailgate system is a joke but the hatchback functionality is incredibly useful and provides a large trunk area that regularly comes in handy. As a consequence of its exterior design it is a heavy car and is not as fun around twisty roads as the smaller, lighter vehicles but it doesn’t really matter much when you put your foot down in Sport Mode and remember you’re driving a twin turbo V8. Probably the best part about this car is how fast it is, it’s very fast from the factory and you can do some basic modifications to make it way faster. Mine is full bolt on and tuned now and I feel a noticeable difference from stock. Everyone that gets in the car is blown away by how beautiful it is and then blown away by the power from under the hood, it’s the best of both worlds. As with all BMW’s reliability is a problem. This car and the updated N63TU engine seem pretty xxxx good but when something does inevitably break it’s very costly to repair. It’s best to avoid the dealership and do the repairs yourself if you can with any German luxury vehicle, especially BMW, and remember to keep up with general maintenance on time. Two things that I really dislike about this car are that it has no remote start feature (you can’t even do an aftermarket one) and it has no Apple CarPlay / Android Auto. I understand it’s from 2017 but it’s a 5 Series, a full blown BMW luxury vehicle missing what I would consider essential luxury features. Remote start at the very least was very prevalent in 2017. Overall owning this car has been a truly great experience and if you’re new to BMW you will absolutely fall in love quickly because after all it is a BMW and the driving experience is one unique to the brand that’s really hard to understand until you drive one.

I honestly don't think I could find the right words to express what an amazing experience my husband and I had purchasing our 2021 GMC Acadia through BMW of Reading. I test-drove the Tesla Y and the BMW i4. Both had great acceleration and many desirable features. However, the BMW felt more luxurious, higher in overall quality, and newer in design. I have been driving the BMW i4 eDrive 40 for about two weeks. Because I am new to EVs, it took me a while to learn the many features. The dealer process took several hours to explain things and I returned briefly several times to request further explanation on specific points. Owners should be conversant with cell phones and computers to use the features. I am still waiting for the QMerit Level Two Charger to be installed but regular 110 Volt house current has been adequate to recharge the car after a normal commute. The car is actually a hatchback, with the trunk being capable of lifting high. The rear seats fold down, so the trunk is quite voluminous. I didn't like the vertical grills at first but they are growing on me and I consider the car beautiful inside and out. It is a pleasure to drive. I am already wedded to electric cars and doubt I'll ever get another ICE car.
