2015 Dodge Durango review
I’ve owned my 2015 Durango 3.6 sxt for 8 years. In that 8 years I’ve put nearly 260K miles on it. It’s been my every day driver since the day I purchased it. Redline red, all black interior, 3 rows. Just a basic model. But, to this day, it’s still going strong. At the time of purchase I did get the maxcare lifetime warranty. It was exercised for a couple small things. Back latch switch went dead and wouldn’t open just a switch replacement. No big deal. At 220K nearly on the dot the transmission failed. With the maxcare warranty, I paid 200 dollars for the transmission replacement. That was only a year ago. That has been the only major issue with this vehicle. To be honest, 220K was impressive, since the 46RE transmissions in my 1st Gen Durango went out at 134K and the same transmission in my 00 ram 1500 went out at around the same mileage, I was extremely impressed with with how long this transmission held up. Notably a major improvement in reliability from the old glass transmissions that would break if you even thought about it. The 3.6 pentastar motor has been absolutely amazing. With multiple cross country trips in this vehicle, set to cruise control and eco mode on, I have squeezed 31Mpg out of it on those long long rides from Lake Tahoe California to Meredith New Hampshire. I have maintained it in time every time. Some normal wear and tear items have been replaced which is expected with the mileage I put on this. A wheel bearing, radiator, water pump. (Standard maintenance). The only downfall is that I’ve had to replace the windshield 4 times because it’s a magnet for rocks hitting it. I’m not even someone who tailgates because I always have my children with me and their safety is my priority. Which was the reason I purchased it. The crash test ratings met my standards, where the passenger compartment was the safest in the ratings. Driver side wasn’t as great but still pretty solid. I’d rather my kids and now grandchildren be safe with side impact or rear impact collisions than myself. But, I’ve never had an accident. Knock on wood. Overall, I would say that this is a fantastic midsize suv with excellent fuel economy for it being heavy compared to other vehicles on the market at the time. It’s been extremely comfortable to drive for all of this time. I do not have any tears, i. The seats, arm rests, and headliner. All of the electronic components work just fine still, and the controls are at your fingertips leaving your eyes glued to the road. This vehicle has been really good to me. I’ll keep driving it till it finally quits. And with the amount of miles I’ve put on it, I wouldn’t even be mad if it gave up now considering all of the memories I’ve been able to create with my family because of it’s reliability. From one mom to all the other moms out there looking for a great vehicle, give it a solid test drive, it’s roomy enough, overall it’s just been a wonderful vehicle to own for these last 8 years.

2015 Dodge Durango review
I am 56 years old and have purchased 6 brand new cars in my lifetime. I own them from 7-12 years, usually overlapping the ownership as I sell the old one rather than trade it in. I have previously purchased 2 other Dodges, 2 Chevys, a Toyota and Subaru. The 2015 Dodge Durango I currently own is the only vehicle that I have never had an issue with, nothing broken, no engine lights, nothing. I simply kept up with the maintenance. I had planned on replacing the front brake pads at around 60,000 miles and when I took the calipers off, the old pads showed little wear, so I left it. At 9 years of ownership I decided to change the battery even though it was still good. At 130,000 miles I changed the spark plugs and figured I should change the coils while I was at it, again no indication of wear, I just felt it was time. It was at this mileage I finally changed the pads and planned on doing the rotors as well, but the rotors showed little to no wear so I only did the pads. I went to my local Dodge dealer the other day and talked to a salesperson about getting a new Durango, hopefully it will be as good as this one.

At first, I was hesitant about going to Auto Place Inc. due to the past reviews that people have written. I decided to take a chance with them, which was the best decision. When I arrived, I showed them the three trucks I wanted to look at, and they handed me the keys to them. They let me take my time looking at them and test-driving each truck. The team was not sitting over me like most dealers do. If I had questions about something, I went into the office to ask, and they answered everything I asked. I could take as long as I wanted and did not feel pressured to buy a truck from them. At the end of the day, I bought a 2015 Ram from them. The one thing that came up after I purchased the truck and was driving it home was that I started getting a vibration in the front end when applying the brakes. When I got home, I checked the brakes out and saw they were worn and needed replacement. I knew I bought the truck “AS IS,” but I still sent them an email about the issue, and the following day, when they were open, they called me and said they were sorry to hear about the issue and we wanted to take care of it for me. They did not have to consider that because I bought it “AS IS.” So, I drove it back to them, and not only did they replace the front brakes and rotors for me, but they also replaced the back ones. I'm from Pittsburgh PA. I wanted to buy a Dodge Dakota and did a Google search. There are not many 1999 Dodge Dakota's in my region that are still road worthy or worth the price that people are asking. I saw one come up at Instant Equity Auto on cars. com. Every single person i dealt with was excellent at answering any questions I had. I flew out and was there Black Friday 2024 they helped me with taking back my rental car, and off I went 2100 miles home with a used 1999 Dakota. Was I a little stressed? xxxx yes! But, the truck was cleaner then anything I've seen. And it didn't skip a beat! 80mph or 65mph, she just kept going! I was home by Monday and she is still going strong 💪. After I got back, I had some questions about the title and everything, again everyone was extremely helpful. As with any used car, I will say do your own research, anything can happen at any time. I bought this truck as is. But I can say it was exactly as they described it and I'm very happy with their service! Thank you, everyone at Instant Equity Auto 😁

2015 Dodge Durango review
My crystler Pacifica had multiple issues but last straw was after being back in a rental for the 2nd time in a week with young children in August in Florida I was getting really frustrated I took it back for 3rd they promised me it’s good. Next day no air driving to school and sitting in drop off lane They put me in a Durango. My only request was heated seats because I am a retired firefighter paramedic and it helps with spasms. I got the 2015 limited in a stone grey. This compressor stopped working about 5 years. It was fixed and no issues. My back suspension needed to also have a repair. I only have 50,000 miles on it. I use it for trips up north for family or splitting up car xxxxxxwith my ex. I love that it gives me the space of a van but it drives like my older 4 seat cab pickup. I like to be higher than everyone and still is very easy to control and park. I was in an accident right after Covid hit. The other driver took off most of the front 12 of my fender. I was hit hard they had him speeding and going at least 50. 15 over, I have a herniated neck and back from being a firefighter. I was not hurt at all. I did suffer a mild concussion and bruising to the chest from the airbag. By the looks of the Durango it looked like no one survived. So I give it an A+. Not an issue but annoying is the have the ability to change the automatic transmission to manual by touching to silver switches. Which are unfortunately hit by accident more then I care to admit then your pushing the gas and the car will just rev . To turn manual off u need to shut the car down. Makes it very dangerous sitting for a light and u accidentally hit it unknowingly. That needs to go.
