A very pleasant experience

My search for a late model, used, mid-level sedan ended when I purchased a 2013 Hyundai Sonata from Hertz Car Sales in Pasadena. In general, the used cars on a Hertz lot are consistently priced lower than what you'll see for the same make, model & mileage elsewhere. So much so that even if you decide not to purchase from them, you would do well to make yourself aware of their offerings to use as leverage in your negotiaiton process. But why not purchase from them? I found the dealership here (Pasadena) as well as the one in Norwalk to be staffed with friendly, knowledgeable people. And their low prices (set by the corporation at a level removed from the specific lot) lead to a refreshing, "no-haggle" policy. You already have the lowest price, and they're more than happy to give you an "out the door" estimate with tax, title, etc. which you can easily take elsewhere in your search (to compare apples with apples). When you do that, you'll realize the excellent value that some of the cars on their lots represent. It's impossible to predict what everyone may be looking for when shopping for a used car, and there's no substitute for "doing all of your homework". It's a lengthy and complicated process, with many parameters to consider. But it would be a mistake for anyone to exclude Hertz from that process. I would recommend Hertiz in general, and the staff at Pasadena in particular, to anyone.
