1989 Dodge Dakota review
I've owned and driven many many trucks of all makes and models.. And I've actually owned two 1989 Dakotas, both full sized 8ft bed trucks with the largest engine option in 89 the 3.9L LA V6 with TBI. Both trucks still running and driving near the 300,000mi mark, with the original engines and trannys. My daily driver is a 5speed Dakota it averages 22mpg in hilly areas on the highway closer to 30. These trucks essentially run forever no matter how hard you work them; they do NOT stop going.

My Dodge, I've had for years 1999.\n It will outrun any shivy truck on the block. Has some rust issues around the Fender well. Has the 160 mile per hour speed of doometer? So it must have a hot engine. Possibly the 360 motor the 360, but I'm not sure.

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 review
I have always been a Chevy guy. Till my Chevy caught on fire 2000 miles from home. Needed to replace it in Texas and found this 2005 Dodge Ram quad cab Hemi. Im sure I paid too much for it but I was stuck and needed to tow my trailer cross country. The 5.7 Hemi with over 200 K pulled that trailer like it wasnt even there. What a BEAR this thing is for towing. Interior very nice and roomy. I slept in the back seat comfortably. Steering rack had been replaced at 150K so thats excellent. With 240K on it now, I have only had to do maintenance like brakes and ball joints. Only complaint Ive had is the drivers seat material is very week and falling apart. I highly recommend this Hemi Ram thats for sure.

It's a great and good riding and fun to drive I however have been having problems when changing the rear brakes pads especially on the drivers side, and the emergency rear brake cable as well, other wise it's a pretty reliable truck, when commuting or hauling things, do need a new years wifi ,cd , am/fm radio.

My husband and I were just browsing through when Joe popped out to see if we needed any assistance. He answered some questions and grabbed some keys for a test drive. Honestly, we didn't plan on purchasing a vehicle on our first day looking but we absolutely loved our experience and Joe was so personable and felt very trustworthy. My husband has been a mechanic in the past and really appreciated Joe looking into things with our SUV. All in all - great experience and will definitely be recommending Joe at Deery Brother's to anyone in search of a vehicle. He also checked in a few days after the purchase to follow-up, which I wasn't expecting but always appreciate.
2005 Dodge Dakota review
I have owned my 2005 Dodge Dakota 4.7 Laramie since 2012 as of writing this is in the middle of August 2025. I have had no issues with my truck. The truck runs perfect I’ve towed heavy loads many times over 500 miles. This is the best vehicle I’ve ever had. I had a 1986 Toyota pick up with a 22 R engine that blew the head gaskets twice back in 1992. I’ve had a 2016 Toyota Highlander that one was OK but the interior started cracking. I have a 2020 Kia Telluride had to replace the transmission. I’ve had a 1985 GMC blazer had to replace the engine in 1992 with less then 100,00 miles on it. Right now my truck sits on 18 inch rims 31 inch tires no suspension lift. The 2005 dakota has KO 3 all terrain 31 inch tires and has a bunch of overland equipment on it with a Ikamper tent In the interior it has no cracks or blemishes. I can tell you that this is probably the best truck I will own for the rest of my life I don’t plan to ever get rid of it like I said this is a solid truck. I love it. The truck also has over 170,000 miles on it. No transmission issues no engine issues no issues at all. i’ve also taken it out trailing in a mountains, terrain where you see Toyota Trd pros jjeeps, and everything and I get a lot of compliments on it.

Deery Brothers Iowa City hands down has the best service department that is around, never have i seen so many people go above and beyond to take care of a customer and do it as fast as possible to get you back in your vehicle. I have been to many dealerships in my time and never have I been able to genuinely take my car in and forget that it is in for service, mostly because I know they are going to keep me updated and send pictures and or video showing the issues that I brought it in for even if its a issue that I did not even know was there all because they do a multipoint inspection on every vehicle that they get. Saftey is the biggest thing that someone should want for themselves or there family. I know when I do buissness here at deery thats what Ill get. The service manager alex is beyond one of the nices people I have ever met, but He has a Lane Manager Zeke who will always choose customers over company and will fight tooth and nail to make sure he gives his all and to make sure you leave a happy customer.
2005 Dodge Ram 1500 review
Bought the 2005 with a 5.8 Hemi and and I love the growl when you hit the gas. Good on gas for such a massive engine. 130,000 miles for $6k and could not be more proud. A few small things need attention ( windshield washer pump & seat belt tensioner) but those are easy enough. Def worth it to me!
