We did the Online Purchase of a 2018 RAM 3500 Laramie. I could not find it on the website. Amanda in online sales found it very quickly. She sent me a quote and the window sticker. She beat the price of all the other deal ships. We completed the process the same day. Everyone at the dealership was very good at their job.
I worked with Jan from Carvana- she was able to explain to me the process, make sure I was comfortable with where it was at, was able to be reached and kept communication open. The pick up process went smoothly and I was able to sell my car without any glitches.
After visiting several of the typical dealerships I walked away confused and Unsatisfied. After visiting Carvana.com I picked out a vehicle to my liking and price point fill out the paperwork got approval I had my new vehicle delivered to my front door. Most typical dealerships you spend half a day walking away with an overpriced vehicle in an overpriced interest-rate. I'm assuming the dealership purchased the vehicle I bought through a third party. The vehicle looked clean and drove well on initial test drive. I was told it was a private party trade on an Expedition. I asked if it had been damaged or wrecked and was shown a clean Car Fax.
When I got the vehicle home I parked it. Monday morning I had an employee start to install some trailer and two-way radio wiring. He came in complaining about dirt and mud in the harnesses. I went under the truck and it was packed with silt or mud. We had to pull the kick panels and scuff or threshold plates off to run wires. The wire harnesses and channels were full of silt. This prompted us to look further, the truck clearly had been under water at least up to glove box level. All of the readily visible areas were clear and mostly clean, but hidden areas or not so easily accessible areas were covered in silt.
The truck did not want to go in four wheel drive, and there was silt under the boot. There was silt in the kick panels and under the carpet and dash. The back power point was full of silt. They took the truck back and returned my trade, but dealers and the public need to be very careful about flood damaged vehicles. I am posting this to warn people to have vehicles looked at carefully. A clean Car Fax does NOT mean the vehicle has not had a major problem. It is possible to clean up a vehicle and push it along through the market chain without a bad Car Fax. The dealer was good with me, they returned my trade and cancelled the sale and apologized. I sincerely believe, other than the fib about where the vehicle came from, they were unaware it was a flood car. This deal cost me a day or two of work, but it could have cost me many thousands of dollars. Do not depend on salesmen or dealerships to know or tell you where a vehicle really came from, or for them to verify the vehicle is good. I have no animosity toward the dealership, but this is sure a life lesson for me and others.
I had a good visit. The serviceman that processed my vehicle in and spoke with me after my oil change was extremely nice and professional. He was pleasant to speak with and he made it an enjoyable experience.
They are so awesome. They go above and beyond their duty . We've already recommended them to our neighbors . We went in with no hope of getting a new car cuz everybody else lied to us. Guess what they helped us with pleasure we went with the 2013 Hyundai Accent and left with the 2018 Hyundai Elantra. We love it. Thank you so much to everyone for helping us. I started online browsing... Steven Henderson had left me many messages for me to come in for a visit of course I hesitated for a couple of days... Tuesday afternoon 05/29/18 myself and my mom went in just to look around to get an idea of what type of car I want.. Long story short, I came in riding with an uber only to leave out with my New 2017 Volkswagen Jetta S. It was if Mr Steven Henderson new what car had fit me.... I love my new ride Thanks Steven ur the best, u even made my mom smile a laugh she's as tough as nails.. If anyone is able to that with no hesitation ur alright with me.. After owning a Elantra for 12 years & over 209,000 miles , it finally died & was going to cost more to fix it than it was worth. I stopped by at Five Star Hyundai of Warner Robins & was greeted by Steve Henderson. I told him the cars that I was interested in & we went on some test drives to see which I liked. The Elantra SEL had the smoothest ride. Came back the next day with my son & Steve made the buying experience less hectic & stress free.
