2026 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
Only have had it one month, just a couple negatives 1) Key fob very low quality, looks like a cheap plastic Easter egg. I have never had one this low quality. 2) The part that positions the seat belt buckle high or low is a “rubber band”, Never seen that. 3) The steering wheel should be a little wider on the top so you can view the screen/gages better. The ride is nice, Power is there when you want it.

I could have purchased almost any vehicle, and I chose the 2026 Hyundai Santa Cruz in white with the Limited trim package. This truck is sooo comfortable and amazing. It rides like a quality SUV but has many other roles including towing, hauling. It was made for me!

Everyone was so kind and helpful! The price was exactly what they advertised with no hidden fees other than the ones they told us up front! We were out the door with my new Nissan Rogue in less than an hour! I would highly recommend this dealership! And as a bonus, they had a nice playroom with great toys that entertained my 2 year old grandson the entire time! Well done Gates Nissan!
2022 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
I have recently owned model year 2022: the Ford Maverick First Edition Rapid Red w 4 k tow package + The Hybrid Alto Blue Mav XLT Lariat with the 2k tow package. Both were / are nice vehicles and fill or scratch an itch for a truer "truck ownership" experience. And I will be keeping my 22 SC Ltd, Phantom Black; the Warranty worked into my cost of ownership / ROI has me believing it will be less expensive over the lifetime I will own this SC. SC has a comfortable interior - but I like the Mav's numerous and fully functional storage nook areas. I like having the back trunk drop in storage on the SC - smart move! Overall I like the driving, parking experience with the SC Overhead view, the side cameras and the front and back cameras. LANE ASSIST, Cruise with Distance monitoring - ALL of these function soooo much better than the Maverick.

Timothy, Tanner, and Lawrence who helped us where exceptional. The dealership offers transparent pricing, the absolute BEST deals and the guys are courteous, efficient and made the entire process painless and easy. This was the best car buying experience of our lives and we have bought nearly a dozen cars over the years. There was no pressure and it was like working with a friend to get you the car you want at a great price.
2023 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
Our 2023 SEL PREMIUM santa cruz has been a blast. Drives smooth/quiet. The bed with the factory sliding cover is perfect for tools and secure. I throw a tarp over the tools in heavy rain/snow because it's not totally water proof. The turbo is nice, mileage respectful.

Love this vehicle, I would like a front end camera, the heated seat button on the dash not to my rear. More cubbies would be handy. Please get rid of the piano black.... It shows ALL the dust!

Called the dealership that morning and explained what was going on with my vehicle. Josh Darby suggested I bring it in right away. I gave him my warranty info. He made contact with the warranty company and had my vehicle repaired the same day. I always receive quality service on oil changes, tire rotations etc. I don't take my vehicle to any other dealership.
2026 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
I purchased my 2026 Hyundai Santa Cruz SEL Activity with only 18 miles on the odometer and have driven it over 8,900 miles since May 9, 2026. After daily driving it in city conditions and taking it on longer highway trips, I can confidently say this vehicle delivers an excellent blend of SUV comfort and truck utility. The Santa Cruz was exactly what I was looking for. I needed something that offered more capability and cargo flexibility than my Tucson while still maintaining passenger comfort and everyday drivability. The SEL Activity trim comes with great features, including heated seats, lane assist, a sunroof, and comfortable second-row seating. The bed is spacious, and the factory Tonneau cover does an excellent job keeping anything I carry back there clean and dry. I also appreciated purchasing from a dealership that provided a dealer-backed warranty, giving me additional confidence in my ownership experience. The Santa Cruz provides a great balance of practicality, features, and peace of mind without needing to rely on a third-party warranty company. Driving performance has been excellent. The truck has plenty of power, and highway driving is where it really shines. It is extremely stable, comfortable, and quiet, with almost no noticeable cabin noise. Fuel economy has been impressive, averaging around 24–26 MPG during continuous daily city driving and reaching 36–38 MPG during longer highway trips. Handling is excellent, especially with the 18-inch tires, and the transmission provides plenty of torque for the terrain and conditions I regularly encounter. There have been a few minor issues. After an infotainment software update, the USB-C connection used for Android Auto/Apple CarPlay stopped working properly. Disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes temporarily fixes the issue until the vehicle is turned off again. The driver assistance system also has some quirks. Even on well-marked roads, the lane assistance can sometimes behave unpredictably, and I have noticed it occasionally tries to move right instead of staying centered when going through intersections. The biggest annoyance has been a rattle from the passenger-side headliner that has been present since I purchased the vehicle. It is especially noticeable on rough roads. The climate control system works very well with dual front controls and rear airflow, although occasionally the fan will completely stop for a few seconds before restarting. Overall, the 2026 Hyundai Santa Cruz SEL Activity has been an excellent vehicle. If you are looking for a truck-style vehicle with good towing capability, passenger space, storage, fuel economy, and modern features, I would absolutely recommend the Santa Cruz. It is unfortunate that 2026 is expected to be the final model year for the Santa Cruz because it fills a unique space in the market.

I love my little truck. I have a 2022 turbo. It will get up and haul but. It tows great. Only promise dash lights up when towing. They don't have a fix for it. Nothing wrong but is bugs me. For a $55,000.00 truck they need to fix this

We have a 2022 Limited with 24000 miles. It serves its purpose well with the ability to cary bark dust and as a daily driver. The creature comforts are very nice with the cooled seats and the heated steering wheel. is inexcusable that the top model has a manual passenger seat. The headlights are the worst I have ever driven with.

Ryan Blackburn was great to work with on our purchase of a 2012 Toyota Venza. I have always heard good things about this dealership, but now my wife and I got to experience it. From start to finish, Ryan answered all of our questions, negotiated well, and took care of the little things that concerned us. Also, the dealership put a new set of tires on the car after we had already agreed to purchase it and did a full inspection. That says a lot because most people would not care once you made your purchase. Top notch service and highly recommended.
2023 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
Good pick up truck over all but I would have some changes. 1st - Exterior. Front grill has too big opening spaces. It has potentially hazard to damage radiator with flying stones or debris get into it. Hyundai need to figure it out how to place electric plug for towing in the are next to license plate. I had to install under rear bumper and if i would have to put my boat in the water all the time, electric plug would submerge under the water and it would have it short it and potentially get on fire. 2- Interior. I believe sunroof 95% of the owners are not using it, instead i would like to have automatic window in the rear windshield instead of sunroof. Rear seats could be a inch shorter and it would gave a little more leg room to get in 3rd - Power train. I have SEL Premium trim with 2.5 Turbo engine AWD with 5K towing capacity. Excellent power train but would be nice to have hybrid or fully electric with same capacity.

I really love my new truck...feel price was pretty much on the mark, the features are great, I have had it a month & still getting used to all its offeres. Back seat is a little tight, but I can fit and I don't really carry passengers, I did get an 'after market' bed cover for it ( which I feel I paid to much for the less than 100% quality) Over all I like the truck. (* I traded a 2021 jeep compass , which I thought 'per KBB' was worth more than the dealer allowed me) *

2023 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
I have had my 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz for two years now. It has 52,000 miles on it because I do Home Health for a living. It is not uncommon for me to put 30,000 miles a year on a vehicle. I am still riding on two of the original four tires the vehicle came with. Two tires had to be replaced roughly a year ago due to road debris. I purchased a monthly car wash club membership and 98% of the time after I wash it I use Meguires Quick Spray Wax to do a quick 10 minute wax on wipe off which keeps the paint job looking like new. I get oil changes roughly every 7500 miles although the dealership says that is too soon. With all the stopping and starting multiple times a day, I feel it necessary. I used up all my free oil changes in one year instead of two. I’ve had absolutely no issues with the vehicle. I am so glad I bought it. It rides and drives like an SUV but with the benefit of having the small 4 foot truck bed. It’s a perfect height and size. It is the standard four-cylinder engine which, once you get used to it, is not so bad. It has enough get up and go when needed, although if I would have been exposed to the turbo engine, I may have spent the extra money. It’s not uncommon for me to get 32 mpg on the freeway when my cruise control is set. One time driving slower than speed limit I got 39 mpg! I purchased a black SEL model. Sunroof does not leak and works just fine. I did take the dealership up on their offer to tint windows which has definitely made the vehicle cooler. Ability to clean the interior in the seats is relatively easy and does not take long for the seats to dry after using a upholstery cleaner for weekly light spot checks. The only things I would change would be the rims, and possibly put 20 inch tires instead of 18, and the stereo system. (And the color- It was supposed to be blue). The rims coming on the newer Santa Cruz’s have a much more desirable design, and I believe there is an upgraded stereo system available. Leather seats would be nice. 😊 I am frequently asked how I like my 23 Santa Cruz . I have owned over the years; Veloster, Santa Fe, and Accent. Them, along with a 1990 Suzuki Samurai and a 86’ Toy 4-Runner, were the best vehicles I have ever owned in my life. As long as I can keep it out of flood waters, or avoid approaching 90° turns on country roads in the middle of the night with no street lights, driving 45 miles an hour, this will be the last vehicle I own.

Love my truck so much! It has plenty of leg room for my long legs! It drives smooth on long road trips! The back has been useful for moving large objects better than a SUV. It gives me both worlds truck and SUV feel. I highly recommend if you want a truck but the big ones are too much to handle!

2022 Hyundai SANTA CRUZ review
Purchased a used 2022 Santa Cruz with 25,000 miles. So far it’s the best vehicle I’ve owned. For starters, it’s a beautiful looking vehicle. I live in a rural country area and folks have approached me giving compliments and asking about the truck. It does stand out as a unique “truck” since they haven’t been out for very long. The interior on the premium SEL package is luxurious. Worth the extra money for the sun roof and heated seats. Seats are way more comfortable than the Elantra which I traded in. Performance is impressive. The Sel premium comes with the 2.5 turbo which is more power than I really need but I love the extra umph when getting onto the highway. The AWD is perfect for New England weather. I think the blind spots were worse in the Elantra compared to the Santa Cruz which was surprising. Great safety features, comfortable ride. Has everything I need in a small truck. The Tonnaeu cover in the back looks sexy and is worth spending extra to get the premium package. I can’t wait to add more accessories to my little truck. If you have the money i recommend checking out the Limited or XRT package. Nothing negative to report so far.
