2026 Subaru Ascent review
Have had Ascent for 3 weeks. Have learned most of the controls. A couple of the safety features are annoying and have disabled them. Sound system is great! Ride and quietness are wonderful. Handling on mountain roads not quite as good as my 2014 Outback but still very good. Only real gripes are interior side of driver's door has sharp edges which bother my left knee in normal driving position and not as much room for personal glovebox junk as I had in my Outback. Gets overall about 22 mpg.

2026 Jeep Wrangler review
Bought a new Willys model 2 door. Got nearly 10k off at Brandon Tomes in McKinney. Best Jeep I’ve had so far, and I’ve owned quite a few, dating back to the eighties. Mine has the 2.0 turbo and the 8 speed automatic, and it is surprisingly quick. A bit of turbo lag, but it comes in early at about 3k rpm, and the torque is fantastic. Seems like a lotta folks still want the inline six, but after owning two, those engines are dogs. Also had two V6 models, a JK and JT, and this engine outperforms both. With proper maintenance, should last a good while, but we’ll see. The 8 speed has a great reputation, as does the Rubicon spec suspension. Overall, happy with this Jeep, would recommend.

2026 Chevrolet Equinox review
The Equinox is a nice SUV, that can be fully loaded and still not break the bank. My Equinox has full power, A/C & heated seats, sunroof with a fully, customizable, large display panel. The rear seats are also heated and comfortable to ride in with plenty of room. The heated steering wheel wraps up the luxury. The engine is a little anemic with a 1.5l turbo and FWD with the CVT transmission. With one person, it is okay, but as you add people, the engine bogs down. However, the mpg whether loaded or not are fantastic with my average of 26mpg consistently. The ride is very comfortable and it competes with many luxury brands for comfort and ride. The design and sleek front end make it a very attractive drive. I would say that if you are looking for a fully appointed vehicle in the crossover size SUVs that won’t break the bank, check out the Equinox. Whether a daily driver, a small family or traveling, this platform provides high comfort and good quality that competes in this marketplace.

2026 RAM 1500 review
I use trucks plow , haul and tow... I've owned Ford's and GM trucks as well. While the Ford were good, I've experienced that the longer durability wasn't equal to MOPAR.. I was a GM person for many years and they definitely are not an option for me any longer. The GM's I've owned seemed lighter duty, failed more often than Ford and MOPAR. This is my third MOPAR truck. The past 2 have been very reliable, 300K 259k both still on the road . My new 26 Ram only has 2500 miles on this new truck so I'm reluctant to give it an overall rate of 5 , things Ive experienced thus far.. Performance: The std in line 6 has plenty of punch to it. Milage : Around town I'm getting 21.5 recently took it on a 380 trip ,26.9 MPG although RAM still has issue with its on board MPG calculator it stated 27.9 an error of ~ 4.7% which some may think is picky , I say come on fix it! GM and Ford have it dialed in . Fix it MOPAR. Interiors is well thought out super quiet , seats are very comfortable so traveling long distances is a great experience. I still dislike that one cant order a 8 foot box on a 1500. We will see how this $78K holds up in terms of durability.. Value wise I'm totally unhappy with all brands 78K is just out of line. But then again , lots of folks buy trucks and use them for cars so when demand goes up so do prices. Value wise they out of sync with the customer

I want to give a huge shout and thank you to Johnson Family Chevrolet in Woodlawn, VA. We had a mechanical issue happen with our truck and was headed to get the part we thought would fix it, we saw the bay doors open to the service department and ventured over to see if we could get assistance. Instead of being told again after the first 10 we stopped to talk to "service is closed, come back Monday", we got the owner, Adam Johnson who said, let me help you out. He immediately got on the phone to one of his technician who was home with a sick baby, he spoke with us about the issue it could be and sent one of his fellow techs to help. Surprised to us, the young man on the phone showed up well as the one he had asked to come in. The young men worked on our truck trying to fix this issue so we could finish running our load of heat supplies to WNC. Needless to say they couldn't fix the issue the same day, but they helped us remedy getting the supplies to WNC. The owner, gave us the keys to a brand new Chevrolet pickup to take the load to WNC, no charge!!!! Glory to God this family business saved us and helped us above and beyond to get the job done. If anyone needs a Chevrolet or is thinking of buying one... Go as fast as you can to this dealership, I can only imagine the service you will receive and support you will receive from them, after they have done this for us. Many thanks to all who helped us there, the owner, Adam Johnson. Jake Helms and Hunter Davidson, the 2 young technicians who did everything they could to fix our issue... Ram Longhorn Limited is loaded with accessories and options. The only model Ram that you can get with brown leather interior and I bought it for about 4K more than the Larmie would have cost me after adding the options I wanted on the Larmie.

2026 Dodge Charger review
Aesthetic with the performance of this vehicle. Remind me lot of the early models in the past. The in-line six engine with the R/T and scat pack make this vehicle very versatile. I particularly like the sound of the engines that start up and the standard tech is state of the art. My concern is what will happen in the future for updates or major changes in technology. I am pleased with it overall gas performance a recent trip from Delaware to New York showed on economy highway miles of 27.2. They found off the car is the fact that you can change the different mode to economy all the way up to drag racing. I recommend this vehicle wholeheartedly and hope my generation ( baby boomers) will give the nostalgic version I try. Happy driving.

2026 GMC Terrain review
This will be my 3rd GMC Terrain. Each has been reliable for me, and on my 1st put over 200,000 miles on before trading in. for this 2026 I traded in my 2020 with almost 100,000 miles, but the deal was right and came at a good time. I love the comfort of this year's version, the acceleration and performance outdo previous versions. Spacious for 4, and room enough for 5, with plenty of cargo space. Compared to other cars of similar size and style, this one was right!

2024 RAM 2500 review
I bought this truck used from the dealer. It was used as a rental and had 49,000 miles. The interior was like new. The exterior had normal wear as a truck would. The dealer did paint touch-ups for me, which was extremely nice of them. We had been working together for months to get me into the right truck. The first week I had it, I drove it a few hundred miles over the weekend to pick up my 30-ft travel trailer, and it pulled it home with no issues. Great power, everything worked as it should with no problems whatsoever. It is still working and running great. No matter what vehicle you buy, used or brand-new, it's not perfect. Sometimes you get lucky. I have had vehicles that are lemons, and one like my Ford Explorer Sport that ran great for over 20 years. Hopefully, this RAM will do the same.

We were traveling through the area towing our camper with our 2021 RAM. We had an issue with the steering wheel cover falling off exposing the air bag. I called the service department on Monday morning and Kevin said to stop by. They had it fixed in an hour and a half.
